Nova good review revisited. Review on Kinetic Nova

Hey guys - just read Gautams review - its a classic review, covers all points well. so thought Ill encourage such reviewers; here it is:

I visited the pune expo recently, mainly to find out whats going on in the world, especially our automobile sector. There was only one product that truly impressed me : the Kinetic Nova DLX.

The first thing that attracted me to the product was the scooter of the year award that it got from the prestigious business standard motoring. Wow! A product from Kinetic which scores higher than the hondas and bajajs of the world! So I decided to find out how deserving the beautiful product is indeed.

Here is what I gathered :

Looks:

There is no doubt it that the nova is the best of the lot. The stylish indicators, the nice curves, the friendly seat, the european design, its truly impressive and outstanding. Has great colors going from it; from the traditional Kinetic blacks and grays to vibrant blues, gold and purples...!

Engine : Nova’s has a 113.5cc 4 stroke forced cool engine; which is truly superior to the 100cc engine that the activa or dio has to offer. After taking the test ride, I was impressed to see how smoothly the scooter rolls. very smooth. excellant pick up. nice braking. very impressive.

Mileage:

The company claims 50-60. I was at first doubtful, because this translates into a 10 - 15km more than the activa, and the saffire. when I expressed my concern, the test rider offered to test the mileage with me! we filled in one petrol, and drove it through all the busy streets, traffic, signals, potholes (pune!) (of course following the mileage expert to which I will come to later) and calculated the average - 53kms in that one litre! Wow! For an automatic scooter, thats unbelievable!

Features :

The nova has a huge storage compartment: 2 helmets can fit! very spacious, great design. the body is made of ABS, which means that the vehicle is light (103kg!) and that if you bang any part, replacing it with a new one costs less than 30 to 40 rs! I was told the entire body can be changed for 700rs! (like getting a new color!)

Nova DLX : a milestone in technology: In the new DLX model, they have introduced a ’’mileage expert’’, which are microprocessors. these are basically two arrows, which tell you how you should be riding to get the best mileage! so if you are going slower than you should, it tells you to speed up and vice versa - this improves mileage by at least 8 - 10 km! Also comes with a beeper, which you can shut off or switch on! Cost 700rs extra.

Others :

Kinetic Nova is the only scooter offering a 2 year warranty on its product. this shows the manufacturers confidence in the product!

Price :

The standard model is tha same price as the activa, around 36000rs ex showroom; inclusive of all accesory (activa quotes price minus accessories, which are even compulsory! sort of cheat you!). the dlx model is 700rs more expensive, but easily worth it.

Verdict :

The Kinetic Nova DLX is definately deserves the scooter of the year award. it has everything going for it : looks, mileage, features, 2 year warranty..the list in endless. Kinetic has shown that it has always been and will always be leaders in the automatic scooter category. I would suggest any and everyone to go for the Nova over any other two wheeler.
