My friend purchased this scooter some 5 years back. As he happens to be my friend most of the time we exchange our two wheelers just to feel each others bike/scooters.
As you know this scooter was the first to be without gears in above 100cc category it was everyone favorite when it was launched.
My experience whenever I drive kinetic is that its made for Ladies who doesn’t like to use gears as often as men do.
Due to it’s small tyre one has to take extra care to avoid being slip in water. It’s very dangerous to ride this scooter in rainy seasons.
The other major disadvantage in this scooter is that, whenever one has to refill the gas/oil the person has to not only stop the engine but he has to stand on side to lift the seats as the tank is built below the seat, so whenever one has to refill it the person has to go through all the above procedures. Also the wheel alignment gets distorted every 1500kms, whereas the bajaj has no such problem of wheel alignment.
The other thing which gives headache to the owner is the clutch plate and its spring, which gets burn due to excessive load on the engine.
I would not recommend it to men, but for womens it’s good thing because its hassle free of changing gears especially in city like mumbai where it is very rare to get speed of above 50 km/hr.
