Best device for reading, period

Pros:

1. Excellent light control on the display, feels like paper.

   
   




2. Wonderful ambient light control.

   
   




3. Navigation snappy and responsive.

   
   




4. Supports ALMOST all formats.

   
   




5. Reading comics in a glare free manner is a boon in itself.

   
   




6. 3g is for only Wikipedia and Amazon ecosystem which is superb.

   
   




7. Huge selection of free books available.

   
   




8. Size is just right for reading.

   
   




9. The battery is giving almost four weeks of backup(3g turned on when necessary or else turned off).

   
   




10. All these at a price which is a steal.

    
    

Cons

1. Not a tablet, still touch could have been better.

   
   




2. Porting the books only through calibre is a pain.(which is good though as the software converts the files to amazon readable formats).

   
   




3. More formats should be supported by a reader at this price.

   
   

I am enjoying exquisite collection of books and comics. My house is overloaded with books so this option was inevitable. Moreover this is a "Greener option" and also soft on the eyes. If you want more go get a tablet but if you are a avid reader, this device is just for you. Also through the Software Calibre you can get RSS feeds to the device by connecting it to the net on a computer every morning. No need to buy a newspaper(even on the kindle:-P). Also magazines can also be downloaded. There are also other plethora of options(Goodreads, Flash cards, games etc) I have not spoken about. Explore and enjoy.
