I took an Executive Health Check Up plan for Rs. 3250. There were some 20 tests and a General Physician Check in the end which should have ideally taken not more than 5 hours. But it was all so disorganised and the waiting period for each check up so long that we ended up spending the entire day there (9am-5pm).
And this is not all. There was this PFT Test which is generally done post lunch. But Mom was hungry (didnt eat nothing after breakfast) and the test (consists of cycles of forceful blow ins and blow outs) left her head spinning. By the time we went for the Opthalmology Test the Docs left. We couldnt have dreamt that their Department closes down by 4 pm right? I asked the resident docs who do I escalate the matter (inconvenience) to?
And they gave me that "So Miss, you want to act smart huh" look! Later, they even gave me that jeering look when I actually came back after making arrangements with the Medical Superintendent
(Mr. Sarangi).
I obviously did not want to take another day off for just an eye check up. A friend advised that I try KIMS saying I might want to re-consider my Apollo-loyalty. I don't really regret it because it was only a Health Check up.
Who knows if not for this sour experience, I might have headed to KIMS for an ailment too serious. Life doesnt give you many chances, does it?
