This is a movie full of blood

This is a movie full of unbelievable fights

This a movie where one should not take their brains along

But most importantly this is a must see

Basically it is a revenge movie where a pregnant bride (Uma Thurman) is left near dead by her compatriots one her wedding day and she is out to seek revenge. She has five people on her hit list whom she will kill one after the other. The last on the list I assume is the mastermind and her biggest enemy Bill.

The movie is full of blood. Heads, arms being cut and gushes of blood flowing around all the while and watch it only if you can stomach all this. I am no fan of bloody gory and watched the movie out of sheer curiosity (and because I got the DVD for free) Having said that I have to add that the movie is really artistically made. Coming from Tarantino one cant expect it to be normal, he is known for his geekiness and off track movies but what struck me most about this film was that in the presence of all the blood, all the amazing fights he has managed to make it visually appealing to the eye.

Before you think that I love watching bodies being chopped let me explain. The movie beautifully incorporates animation (O-ren’s story so beautifully shown using only animated characters), it moves from black and white to regular color in just one sequence. There is one fight pictured in the snow with snow falling, Lucy lui is in a white kimono and Uma Thurman is in a yellow jump suit stained with red blood and it was just a beautiful sight for the eye to see the vibrancy of all the colors.

In fact tarantino uses his brilliance so well that one tends to ignore all the gory bloodshed going on. Yes heads are being chopped and arms are being cut but the scene moves so fast that one doesn’t have the chance to stop for even a second and ponder about it. By the time you realize that a head just fell over a body the next shot draws you into it and you move on. That’s the beauty of the movie.

What I found amazing was the end. Its clearly been conceived to be made in at least 2 parts and the end of part 1 makes you want to no I should say forces you to see the second one.

This is a bold outrageous movie in its own sense, with good acting, wonderful soundtrack and amazing camera work. I would recommend this movie to all who have an artistic eye and of course the strength to watch a lot of blood. You will either love it or hate it but you wont be able to ignore the beauty.
