Everyone knows about Delhousie. as a wonderful tourist location.
Being a loner I like the places where there is no much crowd. Where there is good atmosphere and one can enjoy the stay with his/her family.
So I chose Khajjiar above Delhousie which is just 25 kms far from each other.
When it comes to Accessibility: there are lots of private transport facilities for it. from cars to Traveller 12 seater voyagers. etc. and one can easily hire them from pathankot station.
The Roads to the hill station is same, a tortuous two lane with lots of scenery and beutiful landscapes visible from height. There are enough small restaurants to have snacks or meals even.
Local Sight seeing: the most attractive part of the Khajjiar is the Lake area which is flat ground with a big lake on the altitude.and a nicely maintained garden. Most of the visitors are roaming around there. The most favorite food over there is Maggie and there are lots of horses to have a ride.
Also a dedicated taxi stand.
From there you can easily go to the Paragliding location where they offer 6-10 minutes paragliding at the rate around 2000-2500 INR.
Other sight seeing options are Kala top sanctury. but I didn't find it so attractive. Instead the view from my hotel was far better.
Being a distant place and no known to many it is having less options for good hotel accomodation. Though there are few options with reasonable prices like Hotel Mini Swiss. and location of the hotel just amazing.
Safety: the place is though isolated but have enough visitors to make you feel comfortable. Also there are no major markets here so no over crowding at any place. and feels safe to roam around.
TO chill out and to enjoy the peace around you and if you are a hill station lover then Khajjiar can be one of the best spots.
