Hi,
This review is on KenStar's Tumble Top Washing Machine.
Tumble washing is nothing but, the washer drum rotates on a horizontal access (like all the front-loading washing machines). Rotating on a horizontal access consumes less energy (current) as compared to the agitator type machines.
Since they don't have an agitator, they hold more clothes than comparably sized top-loaders and wash them more gently. They also spin faster and extract more water for quicker drying, saving significant amounts of water and energy in the process.
However, if the loading is from the front of the washing machine, then they make you bend to load and remove clothes as well as you cannot open the door if you decide to add few clothes after the machine is started.
So, KenStar combined the easiness and flexibility of a top loading machine, combined with the money saving features of a Front-Loading machine to come up with a Top Loading Tumble Wash system.
The machine is fully automatic with 5kg load capacity, with in-built heater (30-90 degrees) and a selectable spin speed (up to 800 rpm). It also has a pre-soak facility along with an option to process any additives (like Dettol, Blue) during its rinse cycle. When you use only half of the machine's load, you can select its Half-Load feature, which consumes less water as compared to a normal load. It also got Castors to move freely so that you can park it on a side after the washing finishes.
I have been using this since last three years and to my experience it is working very nice and with a very low noise. I liked its wash performance and their after sales service is amazing. In the last three years, my maintenance on its service is about 250 rupees...!!
I hope all of you like this review and please take a minute to send an email with your feedback or questions that you may have !!
Cheers,
Siva.
