Currently i'm persuing my b.tech from kaziranga university.Before coming to this university I have heard a lot of good & bad things about this university, but when I joined then I realised that it was not 100% true.
Academic programmes: It has all total of 5 schools.
1.School of engineering & technology.
2.school of business.
3.school of basic sciene.
4.school of computing science.
5.school of social science.
In school of engineering & technology two programmes are available.B.tech & m.tech. Also phd can be mentored under respective faculties.In btech 5 branches are there
1.btech in mechanical engineering.
2.btech in civil engineering.
3.btech in electrical engineering.
4.b.tech in electronics & communication engineering.
5.btech in computer science engineeeing.
M.tech is available for civil & mechanical.So if someone wants to do m.tech from kaziranga university I will directy say no, better you go for other universities.
In school of business there are two programmes.BBA & MBA. Accordingly school of basic science has two programmes,
1.integrated msc in phy, chem & maths .
2.msc IT.
Under school of social science there are two programmes available.Bachelor in social service & master in social service.
Laslty in school of computing science it has two programmes, Bachelor in computer application & master in computer application.
The university has a good reputation over north east.It is recognised as best private universities of north east.From my opinion it is true to some extent only.From my opinion I found the university is only good for engineering rest is not good as the the engineering.In engineering also I would like to say that mechanical & computer science branch is far better than the other departments. Administration : The university is recognised by UGC( University Grand Commission) .School of engineering is affilated under AICTE.Other schools are also recognised under respective governing councills.I don't know deeply about that because i'm from engineering.Faculties are highly qualified, they are supportive too.The main thing is that they care about the students.They understand student's emotion, I liked that very much.
Extracurricular activies: It has 40 acre campus.Along with playing outdoor & indoor games , one would loved to roam around the campus at evening.It has all indoor& outdoor facilities.One of the major attraction is winter festival.It is time for which everyone waits patiently.It is named as Talent Tantra.In 2017 , VISHAL & SHEKHAR, PAPON, and MOU & THE SHOOTING STARS were invited as guest to perform in the winter fest.This time , I guess DJ NUCLEYA will be coming here.Along with these there are too many other activities are there like destroix( a gaming competition) , moksh mantra( metal band cometition) , .and many more.In one way these are the golden days of the students, we enjoy a lot.Other than activities several seminers & workshops are also organised to boost the talent of the students.
Alumini network: I don't have any idea about the alumini network of kaziranga university.Because this is a very new university.We are the 5th batch.So I think they don't have any alumini network. Final verdict: Overall the university is good in some aspects.Like I have said for engineering purpose it is good.The university imposes heavy fine for the silly things.In one way, they are like gold diggers.But they also provides a quality education.If someone wants to join here think twice, & then decide.I'm not telling you that this is not a good university , but may be this is not that one which you are looking for.
