They are not refunding my money.
I reached out to Kaya Clinic for full-body permanent laser hair removal and we agreed on the treatment for specific body parts as I had the metal implantation in my right hand lower arm so they refused to cover that area and there was a miscommunication regarding the upper arm part. So, I made the payment of 84, 000.00 INR on 30/06/2023.
Earlier, before raising the invoice, they never mentioned or communicated formally in writing that they have no refund policy. On the day of treatment start day, 1st July 2023, I got to know that they were not going to cover my upper arms as well. So, I asked them not to proceed with any session as there was no point that I pay extra to some other vendor for one body part. I asked them to refund my money.
Earlier, their representative Mrs. Chandrakala(Manager, Kaya Clinic HSR Layout) said that it would take up to 45 days to process the refund because of certain approvals related to the process in their company. I agreed to that. On 5th Aug 2023(after almost 1 month), I got a message from her that the money would not be refunded and that instead of a refund, I could go for any other services worth the amount. But, I denied this and I had got my treatment started from some other vendor. So, I asked for a refund only. On this, she mentioned that in the invoice, it was mentioned that there wouldn’t be any refund post-payment.
I told her that it’s a general trade rule that even if we have made the payment and not availed of the services then we can still avail the refund. It doesn’t matter that the company is active with no refund policy. Moreover, I had notified her before starting the treatment. So, now they are just trying to sell me their other services instead of the refund citing the no refund policy of their company.
These people don’t notify their clients about no refunds at the sale time and mention it in the invoice post-payment processing. I’m sure that there must have been many other people who have been trapped by Kaya's sales team.
I've registered the complaint(Grievance Number: 4795228) on the National Consumer Helpline(NCH) and I've notified them about it through multiple channels. For example- Mrs. Chandrakala, and info@kayaindia.net.
NCH has also notified Kaya two times already. But these people seem to not even care about the legal proceedings.
Anyway, I will follow all the legal ways whatever it takes to get my money back but I'm sharing this review here so that other people don't get trapped in Kaya's scam.
