Very very pleasant. Review on Kaveri Restaurant, Hindpiri, Ranchi

I have been in the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, my in laws house.I came here along with my family for celebrating Puja which happens to be my daughter`s holiday too.

Today, I went to the Titan Tanishq showroom in Ranchi. I had my jewellery for Rs 16000 and was quite happy on my belated birthday gift from my husband.It was afternoon and I was suggested to have lunch in a restaurant. I accepted the proposal with a pleasant surprise.

We went to the same first floor of G.E.L. Church Complex, Main Road Ranchi on which the Tanishq Showroom was located.On the Entrance, there was a smart but aged male in uniform with a dairy and pen. I asked that what was going on. I was replied, ``Madam, I am writing down the names who will be called when their turn comes.``

I waited with some disappointment. But I had a chair to wait.There were ten more in line, ahead of me.

The Ambiance

A perfect 10 can be given. The AC was at it`s optimum temperature. The lighting was kept dim adequately which felt pleasing. There were two sections. We entered at the farther section, just like that, may be for more privacy, though they are on the same floor.An big beautiful aquarium was spotted by my daughter with six mid sized golden fish, a very big black fish and three more fish variety. By the side of it was a mini fountain in attractive running condition.The mild music was ON, though the volume could have been kept little louder. The purdah and other decorations were in place. I got a vacant six seater table with cushioned adequate height chairs.

No sooner we took our seat , an aged but smart waiter came and replaced the table mat with a new one. A big Menu book with a good cover was provided soon. Then spoon, knives and plates in three sets.The waiter gave us sufficient time to choose the Menus unlike many other restaurants where waiter seems to be sitting on your head till you order fast.The dress of the waiters were clean and tidy in Black and white with Kaveri Emblem.I even spotted a supervisor overlooking the whole system of operation. The waiting period was hardly 15 minutes.

The Main Thing !!

We ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Mushroom masala and chapati. The rates of the chapati was little high at Rs 15 per simple chapati though.By the time order was placed,my four year daughter was busy in playing with the aquarium and small water fountain and with some other kids, I went through some other Menu.OMG, there was indeed a very big list with sub headings like Refresher(10 types), Tea stall(25 types),Thick shake(10),Chat(10), Soup(07),Salad(04),Kewab(04),Indian Main(51 types), Chinese(26),Pizza(11),Thali(02), Dessert(19), Pulav(08 types) and so on.

The dish was served by the waiter in three plates by himself with a lot of `aapnapan`. My kid who does not prefer for having food herself, took the chapati and had full herself with the Paneer Masala. At Rs 78+ taxes it was indeed value for money, very tasty and fresh. Chapati was normal but well cooked.We ordered for veg Matar Pulav too, which was again value for money.

At the end we were given lukewarm water with lemon slices. My daughter also used it as we used and was happy to do that.A computerized bill was handed over and was paid through the waiter. There was a mistake in the bill, may be because of heavy rush. Upon pointing it out, it was rectified with apologies.

Other facilities

The wash room and the toilet was lighted well with all modern amenities of any PVR Cinema hall standard and very clean. Five sets of same news paper was kept at a designated place.

When I returned from this restaurant I was carrying a pleasant memory. I decided to visit this place every time I will be in Ranchi.
