Kaun Banega Crorepati, famously known as KBC, the first Game Show ever-on Indian Television, which is a popular show from last 11 Years and loved by almost everyone in India. The program is based on the famous game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". 1st season of KBC was telecasted on Star Plus in 2000. Because of KBC, Star Plus was became the high priced, one of the most popular channel in India. TRP of this show is still on the sky. I still remember the first time KBC was started. Everybody tried to get them free for the show. And the culture is still going on.
Now season 5 is going on and that excitement to watch the show is still the same among the crowd. Now-a-days KBC is telecasted on Sony TV from Monday to Thursday 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Without any doubt it’s an ultimate and wonderful Game Show where contestants can achieve their dreams through their knowledge.
Kaun Banega Crorepati is a show that turns Mango People (Aam Log) toSpecial People, a no one to someone.
Plot:
Now a day there are lots of Talent shows on TV based on Dancing. Singing, Cooking etc. But this is the only show, which is based on Knowledge and at the same time entertaining too. Means people with less talent in other activities and high knowledge in their studies can come here and complete their dreams through their knowledge.
Shri Amitabh Bachchan asks 13 questions based on General knowledge, Games, Literature, Current Affairs, & History etc.
Host:
Well, we can’t imagine KBC without The GreatAmitabh Bachchan. He himself is the main attraction for the people who want to come on the show.

His style of hosting is just magnificent. With his good accent and command over Hindi; he excels in the hosting quality. When anybody feels hesitated or nervousness in front of him; he tries to feel them calm and comfortable with his humble talk. He always encourages the contestants throughout the game. Light chit – chat in between the game makes this show delightful and entertaining. In short, KBC means Amitabh Bachchan & Amitabh Bachchan means KBC.
However one change has been done in this season.
This time every contestant has to choose the Padaavas per his/her wish, knowledge & ability so that they can win the minimum amount according to their wish and this is quite a positive change.
Prize Money:
Well, the maximum prize money is Rs 5 crore, which is the main motivation factor for the crowd. In the very 1st season it was 1 Crore and in 2nd & 3rd season prize money was Rs 2 Crore. But from last season it is increased to 5 Crore …..Wow !!!
Contestant:
Every contestant comes in KBC with the dream to sit on Hot Seat in front of Amitabh Bachchan. In this season contestants came from the different corners of the country. Some contestants who came from very small places, has proved themselves. When they introduce themselves through the Video; they become inspirations for all of us. After the introduction we all came to know that there is something special in every human being. They set the examples for everybody who is going through the tough time in their life.
Many contestants who don’t had any positive thing or any chance to prove themselves in their life, KBC works like “Andhere mein Roshni ki ek Kiran”for them.
However we find it difficult to win the 5 Crore . But in this season Mr. Sushil Kumar from Bihar has proved that nothing is impossible if we have the passion within us. He has become the highlight of this season itself and would be remember also in coming years.
KBC changed the life of its contestants successfully or you can say that it’s a lifetime achievement.
My Verdict:
Without any doubt it’s a great game show. A lot of other game shows also telecasted on different channels i.e. Chappar Phaad K, Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tej Hain, Dus Ka Dum,etc. but no one could stand against KBC. It’s a show with entertainment + knowledge + inspirational people. I think everybody smiles when anybody comes on Hot Seat & share their special moments of life; everybody prays for the contestant when they play the game; everybody get excited when someone wins good money for their families and future. And this is the Beauty of this show.
I like this show a lot specially this season. But now this season is going to its end. I’ll surely miss this program.
Just hoping this show will come soon again and we’ll feel the same excitement also.
