The story of this serial is very simple; Anurag, Prerna, Mr.Bajaj and Komalika are four sides of the luv quadrilateral. These four main characters get married in different permutations and combinations –

1st marriage - Anurag + Komalika

2nd marriage – Komalika + Subroto (Anurag’s brother)

3rd marriage – Prerna + Mr.Bajaj

4th marriage – Anurag + Prerna

5th marriage – Anurag + Apourna

6th marriage is soon to be held – Prerna + Mr.Bajaj

If u r wondering who the Casanova Anurag is then herez a description of him –

He luvs to experiment with different hairstyles. In the latest episodes he tries to ape Kishore Kumar’s style in Padosan (middle parting with loadza oil)!

Coming to Prerna – she is anemic and anorexic and tries to appear smart and intelligent by sporting specs but is easily taken for a ride by Komalika and Mr.Bajaj.

Mr. is always prefixed for Bajaj so that people wud keep wondering why is he called that way? His hair looks as if he has just walked out of the salon before the hair dye was set.

As for Komalika –she is supposedly the sex siren of all the serials. She sports all kinds of neckless, backless, sleeveless (headless if possible) dresses, wears cheap imitation jewellery and paints her face with Asian Paints I guess. She roams around the house whispering aloud her evil plans that make you wonder have all the people in the house gone deaf?

Aaaj Kal Kahaani kuch is tarah hai –

In the 4th wedding (look back to the index of weddings) Anurag and Prerna have a kid who is bumped off by our Sycorax. Now starts the blame game of Anurag and Prerna and currently they have become sworn enemies.

Kab kahaani mein twist - Anurag marries Apourna and Prerna stays with Mr.Bajaj who is her good frend – y dun they just say X-hubby.

Yesterday’s episode focuses on Prerna getting engaged to Mr.Bajaj (Why should there be a big hangama for some one getting married for the third time and also with her x-hubby, wonder wonder again.)

Story in future is easy to guess – Anurag and Prerna wud get married after sometime. Anurag might die/get kidnapped/ or vanish into thin air and once again Prerna would marry Mr.Bajaj.This would go into an infinite loop till it confuses even Ekta Kapoor and finally she might decide to change the actors. (How can she stop the serial so fast)?

My sincere advice to Ms.Kapoor, she shud start showing this serial in English (with better accents than in “A Mouthful of Sky”) and I bet that this wud give “The Bold and the Beautiful” a run for their money.
