When a director who has previously made C-grade Mithun Chakraborty films, a singer who tried to become an actor twice but was unsuccessful in this aim of his and a Pakistani actress who his trying her luck in Bollywood, team up together, one can only expect a movie as bad as ?Kasak?.

This film is directed by Rajiv Babbar and it stars Lucky Ali and Meera. From the trailers,it seemed as if the film will be a decent time-pass, if not a great movie, but unfortunately it has turned out to be the worst film of the year. Here's a review on the worst film of 2005.

?Kasak?, directed by Rajiv Babbar stars Lucky Ali, Meera, Mukesh Tiwari and some new girl called Nandini, who is ready to wear the skimpiest clothes anytime. If all of you had been thinking that films like ?Chaahat-Ek Nasha?, ?Fun?, ?Bachke Rehna Re Baba? and ?Double Cross? were the worst films of the year then you are terribly mistaken because this award (of the worst film of the year) goes to ?Kasak?. What makes this film so bad? Read the review, to find out the reason.

?Kasak? is the story of Amar (Lucky Ali),whose mother had passed away as she was ill. Afterwards, Amar became a male nurse (wow! What an occupation.) so that he could take care of several patients who suffer from a variety of diseases. In that hospital, he starts liking a female nurse, Anjali (Meera) who does not seem to be interested in him, at all. Once, an old lady is admitted to the hospital as a patient and Amar looks after her like his own mother.

Impressed by him, the lady before dying decides to give Rs.1 crore to Amar. Looking that Amar is going to get the money,Anjali starts romancing with the innocent and simple Amar. She gets married to him but only for one reason,so that she can get the money that has been given to Amar.As soon as Amar gives Rs.1 crore to Anjali, she starts showing him her true colours.Anjali goes to the court and declares that she wants divorce from Amar as he is impotent.Anjali tells Amar that she never loved him and whatever she did,she did it to get the money from him.A heartbroken Amar meets Raunaq (Mukesh Tiwari),that night who gets him the job of a bodyguard of a Captain. When the Captain tells Amar that to become rich he will have to become corrupt,Amar leaves his job and after somedays he suddenly becomes very rich due to a land deal. The reason why he wanted to be rich was that he wanted to get Anjali back, who is ready to spend her time with any man who is rich and wealthy.Amar and Anjali get back together, but things start getting worse, rather than improving.

Lucky Ali has destroyed his filmy career with this film and now there is no chance of him becoming an actor. The singer turned actor seems to be very disinterested throughout the film.I still wonder why he signed such a stupid film. His previous film ?Sur? and ?Kaante? were actually good.I have stopped respecting him, after watching this film as I never expected him to do something as cheep as this film.

Meera will also not be seen in Bollywood films, after this film. The ambitious Pakistani actress previously failed to impress the viewers in ?Nazar?,but after this film people have come to this conclusion that she cannot act.In her debut Bollywood film, her voice was dubbed,so she seemed tolerable,at least. Here her voice is not dubbed and as a result, you can constantly point out the errors she makes while speaking English (though I enjoy very much when she speaks English.Makes me laugh out loud.Especially,I love her interviews).Oh! Why am I talking about her English? She cannot even speak Urdu/Hindi properly. All she can speak correctly is Punjabi and that is why I will advice her to return back to Pakistani Punjabi ?gujjar? films, because she has no place in Bollywood. She has left a terrible impression about Pakistanis on the Indians,by entering Bollywood,as Indians might be mistaken that all the Pakistanis are like her.I don`t have anything against her,but it`s just that I`m SHOCKED (this was Meera`s favourite word in the film:) that how come she got offers in Bollywood.

Others are also equally terrible.Mukesh Tiwari overacts and the new lady Nandini who tries to be very sexy, is the worst of all.

Rajiv Babbar`s direction is horrible.I don`t know why was even this film made?At what type of viewers what this film targeted as I`m sure that no one would like to see such a film. The film is so bad that there is no suspense in it,at all.It is so predictable and the film moves so fast that you feel as someone has pressed the fast forward button. After about 20 minutes of the film,Anjali tells Amar that she got married to him for getting his money. There is no suspense element in the film,at all. Then, there are some terrible scenes in this film. The scene where Anjali asks Amar to get ?wild? like animals is digusting. The scene where Amar comes to meet Anjali at her house after the court scene and Anjali hurts herself is melodramatic and very loud but the worst is yet to come. The second half is even worse. When the character of the Captain is introduced, things start getting worse as his character is so loud and that sexy babe who tries to seduce Amar is equally irritating. The scene in which Raunaq asks Amar to kill him in return of money is the worst scene of the film. The climax is also terrible.Actually, each and every scene of the film is terribly executed.Screenplay is half-baked.Why is Amar so much in love with Anjali who doesn`t even care a damn about him.Which guy is so stupid in today`s times who would give away all his wealth to a girl like Anjali? Then, why does Anjali starts acting like a queen when she gets Rs.1 crore, which is nothing in today`s expensive times? What can one do with just one crore rupees, nowadays? Why does Raunaq keep on guiding and helping Amar? And the list of such unanswered questions go on and on.Editing is terrible. The first half moves so fast that there is no suspense element in the film and the second half drags unnecessarily like hell! Art direction of the film is terrible.Cinematography is okay.M.M Kreem`s music is the only good thing about the film, but all the songs are terribly placed in the film.?Hum Do Badan? is a hummable song.?Yeh Zindagi? (which might remind you of M.M Kreem`s superhit song ?Tum Mile? from ?Criminal?),is the best song of the film.?Chain Mere Dil Ko Aaye Na? is also a good song.

On the whole,?Kasak? is a C-grade film which is a shame to the viewers` senses. There is no need to watch this boring and useless film, even on your cable TVs.The film has already bombed at the box office, which was inevitable.A very forgettable film!
