I totally disagree with aalok's opinion on India's number one all rounder Kapil Dev. The vacant place after the retirement of world's famous all rounder, Kapil Dev, is still empty due to the non-availability of such superb performer.
How can anyone accuse Kapil Dev in the match fixing scandal when it is not yet proved. It is beyond doubt that he couldn't performed the role of Indian Cricket team coach properly that was entrusted to him, but, we should always remember that a good player doesn't mean a good instructor also.
Kapil Dev, one of the leading wicket taker of test cricket for our country also helped the nation to capture the first world cup in 1983 under his captaincy only and after that we are only hoping of winning the cricket world cup again without any corresponding success.
My heartiest tribute to legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev for all the good work he done for our country and we shouldn't forget that.
