Its absolutely true that Kapil Dev is the greatest Indian cricketer of all the time. He is absolutely ahead of all his team mates, previous cricketers and also with all the current cricket players on Team India.Only Sunil Gavaskar, Mohinder Amarnath, K Srikant from the old brigade and Master Blaster *Sachin, Saurav Ganguly, Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid *are some of the names who can stand behind great Kapil dev for their significant achievements in their cricketing career.
It’s all due to the miraculous captaincy of the Kapil Dev that Indian team won the world cup title in 1983 and our national flag was hosted proudly in Lords, England. Kapil has boosted such an enthusiasm in his team that they succeeded in defeating cricketing giant like West Indies in the Final match of Prudential World Cup 1983.
Winning a single match or a small tournament or series can be remebered for a small time but winning a world cup title become the most memorable moment of all the time and it happened only after the win of World cup cricket title in 1983 that becomes an golden achievement in the history of sports in India. Here we must also recapture the sweet memories of consistent winning of Indian Hocky Team in the olympics and world cups coz these are the very few moments on which we as Indians can feel proud on our achievements in sports. Rest we all know the conditions of sports in our beloved country.
Cricket is the king without throne of all the sports or games in India and so there is lot of money in this game now but that was not the scenario in the past, cricketers has to do some job and sevice along with playing cricket for India. There were as such no commercial advertisements or product promotions for the players to earn a lot beside playing cricket.Now a days a cricketer can earn a lot just by bringing water bottle & towel for their team mates in the field and without playing even a single match.We have many names in this list as Parthiv Patel, J P Yadav, Amay Khurasia and many more.
Winning cricket world cup titlein 1983 is the best moment as sweet memories in the heart of all indian cricket fans.And we have these memories just because of the great efforts of Kapil Dev and his team mates in the world cup.Its all due to great Kapil Dev as a skipper and his true, sincere and honest efforts in bringing the Indian Cricket in lime light in the world of cricket as well as in political scenario. Only after winning the title in world cup 1983 by team India of that time, Indian cricket came to be known in the world. Before the 1983 world cup Indian cricket team was in very bad condition, Indian team participated in the 1983 world cup with a solitary victory in the previous two World Cups was against East Africa in 1975.we can compare their condition as newbies like Scotland or UAE.
Kapil Dev was instrumentalin bringing the Prudential world cup, he was the real hero of 1983 world cup. He has played very well through out the tournament and just because of his thrilling inning(175 not out) against Zimbabwe our team qualified for semis which finally resulted in winning the title by defeating previous world champions West Indies in the final match of Prudential World cup.
Silver Jubliee Celebrations -
Celebrations are on air these days for Silver Jubliee of winning title in Cricket World Cup in 1983. All the team members including players and supporting members have been honoured and celebrating the Silver Jubliee of their Title Winning.All the team mates of Kapil sincerely admits that its only because of Kapil they have won the title.If Kapil was not their skipper they could not win.
Kapil and BCCI -
Its all due to the efforts of Kapil and his team mates that India has won the world cup title in 1983 and got the pride of being world champions.And BCCI is not teating the winners properly, ICL is the result of this coz Kapil Paji is not ready to lick the feets of greedy Politicians and Business men for some basic facilities and money.also BCCI has stopped his pension due to his involvement in ICL.We all should feel pity on BCCI for treating so badly the world cup winner.India loves Kapil Dev and we all feel proud of you.All the greedy politicians, business men and power brokers in BCCI are not respected by public. They can occupy positions, may enjoy power and money but they can’t gain respect.
Kapil and ICL -
ICL has successfully organized its first 20-20 tournament few months back.under the chairmanship of Kapil Dev. Subhash Chandra, Zee Telefilms launched this cricket league that attracted most of the people with the lotsa money involved, setup with around Rs 1 billion.Kapil was ready to take part in ICL just because it is anti-BCCI and he will be free to take his decisions.
Suggestion to BCCI -
BCCI should respect all the cricketers, treat them well, stop their greedy affairs and work for the betterment of Indian Cricket.Kapil Dev is the best option available as the coach for Indian Cricket team, he can make miracle in Indian team through his enthusiasm and talent.
But BCCI is not running on ethics and truth.Its all money behind each and every decision whether it will be in favour or against of Indian Cricket.but its a truth that Winner will be a winner forever and cunning & greedy minds will go in hell soon.
