STORY
A parent of three kids, tells their daughter of age 9 that she is adopted from a refugee camp. Through this girl who starts searching for her biological mother,
Srilankan Tamils ''thedal'', ''thavippu'', ''ekkam'', ''pasam'', ''Kanavu”,''uraiya vaikkum nijam'', ''Nambikkai'' is told.
CAST & CREW
Keerthana - She fits aptly for the role. She did justice to every other scene.
When she is adamant not to leave a troublesome spot, we also feel to slap her.
Nandida Das and Sakravarthy come as an adorable couple. They didn't disappoint.
Madhavan - Did well as a lover and father. But didn’t fair well when he does his ''Guest Speech''. That Close-up shot proves it.
Simran reminds Padmini for somebody (in her beauty, especially when she appears with sooranam on her forehead), Sarojadevi for somebody (avan mattum kaiyil kidaichanna…), Sujatha for somebody (her actions). She is evolving as an actress to gain ''Nadigaiyar'' thilagam title after ''Savithri''.
I heard Cinematography is good and better reflect the emotions. But I didn't get a chance to feel it as I watched in Videotape.
How many of you noticed ''Audiography'' in the title card?
SIXTH SENSE
This movie portrays a well-off, modern and techno-age kid perfectly. The exposure these kids have really made them so smart and growing challenge to the parents.
Keerthana's negligence towards Simran after knowing she is not her biological mother is a good scene.
Flashback of Madhavan and Simran's love is short and sweet. Those Scooter and Bicycle chats over the long beach. Lovely!!! And also when they hug each other….
Madhavan's anger towards a fan who offers a seat, argument with his brother-in-law about growing up the kids mirrors the EGO young generation today.
''Vellai pookal'', ''Kannathil Muthamittal'' songs are good.
Keerthana over tha laid down BUDDHA! WOW! Hats off to Sabu Siril, the art director.
This movie will be really received well by ''SRILANKAN'' Tamils all over the world.
IS MAKING SENSE?
M S Viswanthan high pitch song (vidai kodu) didn't fit at all. Even though the lyrics for that song is soul stringing, the shots didn’t bring that hard feelings. And also,
AR Rahman is not at his best for re-recording at least when it comes to emotions.
''Keerthana'' going to ''Rameswaram'' with her cousin, Her 20 questions to Nandida, Belt Bomb, Madhavan & Prakash caught by “Porallikal” (what is the equivalent English word?) may be thought differently.
When an entire building is destroyed, Madhavan, Simran, Prakash Raj and Keerthana escape just like that in a car from that spot. What is the significance of that building? Why they destroy it? Or it's a shooting exchange between two groups? If it is not important, then at least the length of that scene should be made short.
FINAL WORD
Nandida das says to her daughter, she will return to her kid when peace returns to that island.
SRILANKAN GOVT and LTTE are taking efforts for ''peace'' with the help of NORWAY GOVT.
Hope they will work towards the better future, leaving the past far behind.
''Kadal'' thandiya ''Poongulali''-yin Nokkam Niraiverattum.
''Nediya” maara ekkam theerattum.
Vellai pookal malarattum.
We do pray and wish ''peace'' would be theirs soon.
