Jeffrey Archer needs no introduction,from short stories to huge novels he is the best story teller.I love reading novels and if it is a Jeffrey Archer it is a must read.
Kane & Abel is a unique story.It deals with the life stories of two individuals who grow up in completely different environments-but who are destined to meet.This is a story of poverty,struggle,agony-it is also a story of wealth,success & will power.Moreover it is a story of fate,of the hands of destiny that steer a person from what he is born as-- to what he is meant to be.It is fiction but the author makes it seem so real.
A small boy`s struggle for survival in a poor part of poland,the poverty,the traumas he faces and his luck,stubborness and will power which takes him on a journey from the streets to become a rich, successful hotelier-Baron Abel Rosnovski.
On the other hand William Kane a millionare`s son,living in luxury but whose life takes a different course when he comes across Baron Abel.
What I found interesting is the way in which the story is told to the reader-one chapter deals with Kane,the next with Abel and so on till the point where they meet.Their fierce competition which makes them hate one another and the fight to reach the heights of success is the highlight of this novel.
Though it is a huge book it will keep you hooked till the end,so dont give it a miss.
Also dont miss J. Archer`s short stories,they are sure to intrigue you.
