After Dirty Picture, Vidya returns with yet another author backed role in Kahaani. She plays a pregnant NRI software engineer who comes to India in search of her missing husband.
The story is well written, but what takes it to the highest level is the acting of Vidya. It seems she has acquired the midas touch and turns every role she touches into gold.
In Kahaani too, she has not played the role mechanically, but with conviction and not only talks the part, but walks the part.
Her expressions that of a heavily pregnant woman running around in search of a missing husband, where everyone she meets tell her there is no such person exists.
The biggest proof of his existence being her pregnancy. For once, the supporting cast be it the freshly recruited police officer who helps her in the search or the corrupted IB officer each lend excellent support for the story.
After Dirty Picture, you will now see a pregnant vidya collecting all the awards for this stellar performance.
