KANK is one of the typical Karan Johar's Hi5 movie wherein the lifestyle is very westernized....expensive clothes of stars......great locations....and finally Indian values... This combination is usually seen in Karan Johar's movies....
Now Something specific to this movie......
The first half of the movie is good and enjoyable..... dont get bored to see.... Amitabh's comic role is a good entertainment in the movie....... The 2 couples (Rani - Abhishekh, Preity - Shahrukh) look grt in the movie.... According to me the couples were perfect match for each other...but dunno why Karan dint feel so.....
However, the contrast in the couples was very nicely chosen.... Preity and Abhishekh are very Practical in life and have a 'nothing can stop' type attitude..... while Rani and Sharukh are very emotional..always finding for their true Love.....
The theme of the movie is good.....But the movie could have made much shorter..there was no need at all to stretch the movie so long.... many times amidst the movie we think that it cud have ended here.....and both couples cud have settled their lives.... but this never happened in the movie...
I also felt there was no need for Rani n Sharukh to fall in love as they had already realized what is missing in their respective relations and cud have strived a bit harder to improve their relations with their respective partners... but after all Karan is the Father of the movie and so the stars have to work according to his script... :)
The Climax was soooo typical Yash Chopra, film...Karan Johar film.... the RAILWAY STATION..they find no other place but the Railway Station to end the movie ..be it in India or abroad .. haha...
Overall, the movie is good..worth watching ONLY ONCE..and it is advisable that newly married couples do not watch this movie.... This was the advise given to me also by one of my brother-in-law...but still I went for the movie.... :) I believe this can happen only in Karan Johar's movies.... :)
