One can simply write off this movie as yet another Lover story with new faces .

But Love unlike other subject or feeling is unique phenomenon which can be felt by anybody and everybody in their own unique and genuine manner.

And that is what that sets this movie aside along with the fresh casting and a mind boggling screenplay aided by razor sharp editing and a skillful cinematography.

Balaji Shaktivel is back with a bang after his critically acclaimed first effort - “Samurai”.

This time , he touches the viewers heart with a soulful true Love story based in Madurai.

It is about the story of Aishwarya – a 12th Std student of a local School in Madurai who is a daughter of a Local Factionist and eye of the apple of the family and adored by her parents, Grandma, Paternal Uncle ( who has lost his left hand due to local riots ) and his wife – eloping with a Local Mechanic Murugan – who is the son of a Single mother- and what happens next .

Folks – nope I’ll not tell the story as it needs to be viewed and felt in Theatre , So let me get on to the credits department.

Never in any movie had been the Madurai Dialect used like this movie to the core and the rural background and neo-classical nativity of the Madurai City has been captured Colorfully .

Watch out for the rift happening between the locals during the song sequence – Thandati Karupaye.

Bharath excels in the character of Murugan which he underplays effectively – here is an actor who chooses his role different after Kamal Hassan and Surya. He is an actor to be watched closely – If he selects his roles carefully then he is sure to give a run to all the top heroes.

Sandya is Outstanding as Aishwarya -this X std school going student is the find of the year , her eyes expresses even the subtle emotions effectively– another artist to be marked .

Sukumar – excels in the role of Stephen – watch him for his boasting to his room mates and subsequent reactions when the truth is revealed

Master Arun Kumar – A special mention to this Kid. The way he reacts when Sukumar demands for the snacks and tea is sure to bring the house down with laughter and also watch him out for his reaction at the following scenes .

Scene 1: when Bharath bids a Good bye

Scene 2: when he takes the Aishwarya’s Paternal Uncle and his Hooligans for a ride.

All the other artistes – special mention to Dhandapani, Krishnamoorthy have done their part well.

Balaji Shaktivel makes the necessary impact in the minds of the viewers with his mind bogging screen play – the way the story unfolds and ends it is superb.

To tell you few, the way the pressure builds up at Aishwarya’s place post her disappearance is effortlessly conveyed by the chit chats of the neighbours – an innovative and original technique sticking to the reality.

Mansion Scenes are also shot realistically.

Joshua Sridhar Impresses with his tunes – though one has a feeling that they have been a bit familiar

Cinematography by Vijay Milton is of First rate and so is the editing by G.Sasi Kumar.

Shankar needs to be credited for encouraging his disciple to come up with such a simple but powerful portrayal of a Love story.

Verdict : Go For it Folks !

Rating : 8 / 10

P.S : Pardon me for not including N.Muthu Kumar's Soulful Lyrics - he is getting better with one film after other.

This is his best till date.
