JW Marriott hotel of mumbai is a truely a 5 start hotel in all sense. The exteriors and interiors are commendable. I was amazed seeing the rich and luxurious infrastructure. Every vehicle that enters the hotel gets checked by 6-7 guards for security reasons. The place outside lobby is filled with slow moving cars and cabs all the time. The lobby is huge area with marble flooring with orchids arranged at the center. Staff at front desk were kind enough to give us room of our choice(beach facing). One can get glimpses of beach and pool from the lobby. The JW Marriott Hotel offers a range of food options at its many restaurants.
Mezzo Mezzo - An Italian restaurant that opens for dinner.
Lotus Café - A Continental Restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Saffron - A Indian restaurant that serves only dinner.
Spices - A Thai restaurant that serves only dinner.
Breakfast had whole lot of variety ranging from Indian dosas to italian breads. We opted for standard room with king size bed. The room was compact and clean but looked spacious because of huge mirror on one side of the room. Dressing area was very impressive with mirrors(nicely carved frames) adjacent to each of the walls. Room service was not upto the mark as they were never in time. We being platinum members assumed that breakfast was complimentary but during checkout we were given a bill of 3500 rupees against breakfast. The manager was kind enough to wave that off for us. So the entire stay was absolutely free! On the whole it was a remarkable 3 day stay at Marriott.
