Car Rental Date: 12 Aug 17(Time 12:30 AM, MIDNIGHT)


I, Amit would like to share a horrifying incident with "DRIVEZY" powered by Just Ride especially for one traveling with family.


1.I booked a Mahindra XUV-W4 from Mumbai at 12:30 AM-midnight on 12 August 17, car was booked well in advance approx 1 month or even more


2.On 10th(Thursday) I called up the customer support to know the status of my booking and who will be my POC once I reach Mumbai, the executive replied me back saying everything is confirmed and he shared me the details on mobile and email and wished me happy journey.


3.On Friday(11th Aug) a day before my journey I called up the POC at Mumbai Mr. SANKET(7977451460) to know what time he will b coming, he explained me all details and we happily disconnect the call with all excitement as it was a first long drive for my 2-year-old daughter.


3.Soon after the call ended I received a call from Mr. Sanket(POC) stating the car MH 14CX 9883 met with an accident and upon asking. What's next?. He asked to contact customer support. And now the story begins.


4.At 4.18pm(6 hours prior to my flight from Chennai to Mumbai 9.25pm AirIndia) I called up the customer support where I received a blunt answer and rather feeling sorry and providing alternate options he is asking me'Sir, then what to do?'. After begging him for a long time he asked me 30 minutes of time.


5.Soon after the call I immediately dropped an email to customer support. NO Call came from customer support and now the time was 5.30pm. I again called up the customer support and after a big argument cum request, he finally agreed to make an alternate arrangement. I then ended up the call thanking Mr. Nikhil(CS). I immediately received a re-confirmation email and SMS.


6.At 9 p.m from Chennai Airport, I called up the customer support to get my POC details at Mumbai and to my surprise, I received the same person Mr. Sanket'scontact details without disclosing the Car details. I felt something fishy but had no choice than to follow them. Keeping fingers crossed boarded the flight.


7.I reached Mumbai Airport at 11:50 pm(Night) and just after I switched on my phone I received SMS and Email from Drivezy with the same Car details which in the afternoon I was been told met with an accident. I called up the person to inform I have reached Mumbai Airport and by what time he will b coming to hand over the vehicle. He rudely answered- "I have already informed you in the afternoon that the car met with an accident then y r u calling me?. I replied saying. Before I left Chennai I called you up and you only said like u will b coming to hand over the vehicle." before I could end up my entire conversation he interrupted and asked me to call the customer care and disconnected the call. Now the time was around 12:30 am(Midnight) and I understood something fishy was happening.


8.Without delaying a minute I immediately called up the customer support number. The call got connected after say 10-15min.and, as usual, he kept on blabbering stating give me some time(10minutes). I waited for 20-30 minutes but as expected no call came. Again I called up the customer support and after a long argument I was been given Mr. Wasim(Mumbai Lead) number and was asked to call him.


9.At 1:37 am I called up Mr. Wasim(9930779468) and explained him the entire situation and kept on beginning for help. He too was traveling to Pune and his response was not very supportive as he said he can't-do anything and he disconnected the line.


10.Now it was 2:00 am(Night) and I was still at the airport trying to seek help by calling customer support again and again. BUT NO HELP WAS PROVIDED. Hope by this time everyone would understand my situation. Reached Mumbai airport by 11:50 pm and now it was more than 2:00 am with my 2year old daughter and my family all sitting at the airport and calling here. There. Everywhere seeking help.and finally at around 3:00 am we booked a private car and left for a hotel as my family was tired and very frustrated


11.My trip was from 12th Aug-16th Aug and because of such Cheating happened with me everything got spoiled as it was a long weekend(4 days leave) and facilities were available in just hours of time left.


The above incident left me with many questions?


a.Why I was not informed when I called my POC from Chennai.


b.I was told some other alternate arrangements were made, then why was I been shared the same vehicle details which I was been told met with an accident on the same day in the afternoon?


c.If the vehicle really met with an accident then definitely there would have been some kind proofs supporting it which I hope they would b able to prove in court?


My Observations:


Since I booked the car long time back I got it as a good deal but as they realised it was peak days they offered it to someone for a better price as we sighted the same vehicle from Drivezy with just one digit change in the number plate.


I have never seen such kind of un-professionalism before and would make sure the horrors I and my family has undergone nobody else should ever undergo. I will be raising a social media campaign against DRIVEZY(Powered by JUST RIDE) and would take this concern via legal Consumer Case against your firm. I have kept all the misleading messages/Emails received by me from your company and all the calls have been recorded.


I will make sure that you do not follow such unethical practices to gain business in future.


I have connected with few lawyers explaining the overall scenario and very soon will send you a legal notice followed by a case at Consumer Court.
