As for as I am concerned Sylvester Stallone didn’t have to do much acting to pull this movie off. Stallone who is very visible throughout the film doesn’t quite live up to his more successful 1982 lead role as John Rambo, a Vietnam war veteran in that release of “Rambo.” Some how Sylvester doesn’t appear too strong, and witty. In this sequel of “Rambo”, “Rambo” pulls off with the same pretty gruesome ingredients of war, rage, violence, mutilation, blood, and gore. After watching this film at its premier, I thought, "I’m very glad that I don’t have to worry about spending $10.00 for a box office ticket to see such chaotic violent junk coupled with not so good acting from the cast and lead actor Sylvester Stallone.”

In this movie, a group of missionaries stationed in Thailand recruit John Rambo (Styvestor Stallone) to guide them up the Saliveen River to deliver medical supplies to the Karen tribe of neighboring Burnma a.k.a. Myanmar. When the missionaries fail to return John Rambo is persuaded to take a group of mercenaries’ back into the war-torn border region to find them. Upon returning to the border John Rambo and the mercenaries encounter the bloodiest, and worst forms of war until the mission is completed.

“Rambo" is a movie with promise, but somehow just doesn’t meet my expectation of a good war movie, and sequel. I found the overdrawn antics of blood-savagely-brute force- gore- mutilation- murder- the hideous sight of the macabre- rape, prejudice, and disregard for women to be utterly disgusting, and at times depicted unrealistically, and perfectly set to arouse the indignation of any human being watching this film.

In addition, acting from lead actor Sylvester Stallone doesn’t deliver a powerful caste role along with a host of cast members that bring on lots of problems with acting, and dialog. However, I will give this film thumbs up for its brilliant cinematography, action scenes and good direction from Sylvester Stallone.

Overall not a good film.
