We a group of 7 adult and 3 kids visited Jim Corbett national park in May 2011, we traveled from Mumbai to Delhi via Rajdhani and then from Delhi to Ramnagar by train which leaves old delhi at 10.45 PM and reached Ramnagar in the morning 5, 45 am .We preferred the train as we were Senior citizen and children in the group, in the train you can sleep while it is difficult if your catch a bus or car from Delhi.

The first day we visited the corbett falls which is around 10 km from the resort.A tavera charges arounf 1200 for this trip Tiger den resort is not towards the Raniket route but on the corbett falls route.were as most of the hotels are in the Raniket route.later in the day we enjoyed the pool , cricket & Badmintion at the Tiger den resort. Corbet falls was not very dangerous during our visit as it was summer , we cold go right up to the water falls.

On the way to the falls you can see a lot of mango & leaches trees also there are many wheat fields to be seen. Near th the falls you can also visit the Jim corbett museum were Jim corbetts cloths and other items are kept. The two dogs of Jim corbett are also buried here. The resort is good and well maintained. The food is also good.If you take a package they offer free SPA session also.

The next days we visited the Jeep safari to the jim corbett park in the morning which had to be booked in advance. They charge around Rs4000 per person. The main reason everybody goes to the Safari is to see the tiger, but only a lucky few can see the tiger. We were not one of them. The guide showed s the Tiger pug marks with which we had to satisfy ourself. We had an experience of a herd of Elephants charging towards us . Besides we saw the deer, Sambar etc.

The next day we left from Ramnagar towards Raniket by car which is around 3hr drive. On the way we stopped at the corbet museum. There are some stuffed Tiger, Baby elephant & leopard kept their. You can skip this if not interested.

Raniket is famous for the Fruit Orchid. If people do not want to do treeking or not interested to see these trees Raniket can be avoided.

We spent one night at Raniket and left for Kausani .Kausani is also 3-4 hr journey from Raniket.

It Rained the evening that we visited Raniket due to which it was very cold at night. We stayed at hotel Bloosom. They have wooden cottages and huts to stay.Raniket is famous for the sunset & Sunrise. We woke up the next morning to see the sun rise from the hotel around 5.30 AM.one can see the beautifull siener y of the himalayas with peaks from here.

We leave after breakfast from Raniket to Nanital and reached Nanital within 5 hr.We had lbooked at hote Chevron Fairheavens.

The hotel is situated at the other end of the mal road and is situated at a step incline from the road. The hotel provides their Jeep to pick and drop from the market.Fairheavens is a vintage YWCA hotel and has the old charm to it.You will fo back to the 1900 era once you are in the hotel. All the old gramphone, piano, wardrobe , fireplace are still intact. We spent 2 days /3 N at nanital. The first day we visited the nearby ares such as barapathar, caves ropeway, Jt John church, Only the caves are good the ripe way can be enjoyed as it is a unique experience.

The next day we visited the Zoo in the morning. We could see the tiger, bear, leopard , peacock in the Zoo.In the afternoon we did the lake trip. One can visit he Saa tal lake to do kayaking. At Bimtall there is a aquarium in the middle of the lake but many people do not visit it due to the steep rates. The aryabatta obersavetory was closed once we reached it as the timing was from 2 to 4 PM.

We left Nanital the next morning back to Ramnagar to delhi and delhi to mumbai.
