About the film:
Jhing Chik Jhing is about farmers in Maharashtra. It is about sucide of farmers in Vidharbha. Jhing
Chik Jhing has already got awards like Best child actor, Best actor, Best actress, Best director,
Best film and Best story in various award functions like Maharashtra State Awards, Zee Gaurav, MaTa
Sanman and Sanskruti Kala Darpan. Jhing Chik Jhing released on 11th June 2010. Jhing Chik Jhing is
filmed in the town of Dhule, in North Western Maharashtra, and adjoining villages.
Plot:
Mouli is a farmer from vidarbha who is growing cotton in two acres of land. He is hopeful of making
good money from the crop. He takes 10000 rupees from Shiva and spends it for buying chemicals and
other things. Manda, his wife is always with him. In spite of spednig so much money on cotton, Mouli
get very less money after selling it to the co-operative sector. Alery he was in 1000 debt and again
he gets less than what he has spent. He hardly suffices the daily meal for him and his wife,
daughter and son Shyam.
His son Shyam is a bright student. He is favorite of his teacher. Teacher gives him lot of support.
His ambition is to come out of poverty and become big doctor.
One day Shiva comes to their home and tells them to return 10000 rupees within 7 days, otherwise on
26th January he will take his land and home. He takes Mouli's signature on the paper. Mouli thinks
that if he makes sucide then his family will get 100, 000 rupees from the government. His wife will
give 10000 rupees to Shiva and wife, children will live happily. But Manda watch him making the
sucide and decides that she also want to die. Mouli and Manda decide on that night that on 26th
January, all four of they will do sucide.
Shyam and Dipti hear that. They decide to make 10000 ruppees before 26th January. Shyam enters into
the sack race competition at school sports for which prize is worth rupees 10, 000(which is actually
rupees 1000) but Shyam is unaware of this. dipti and Gautam help him. He tries hard and wins the
race. His sister Dipti too tries to borrow money from a boy who loves her, but fails. They come home
and their parents are ready for the meal. They added poison in the food to commit suicide. What will
happen now? Will they commit suicide? What about Shaym? What about his ambition?
Performance:
Bharat Jadhav is has seen mostly in comic role. But in Jhing Chik Jhing he is seen in serious role.
He has given justice to the character. Madhavi Juvekar has done perfect role of a farmer's wife. her
expressions are very good. Chinmay Kambli is the best amongst all. he is innocent. He is natural.
There is very good scenes between him and Pratik Dalvi, who is his best friend in college. Aarti
More is also good. Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sanjay Mone and Uday Sabnis are first rate.
Direction:
Direction done by Nitin Nandan is very good. Most of the scenes are class act.
Music:
The music given by Rahul Ranade is very good. There are only two songs in the movie. The title song
"Jhing Chik Jhing" is very good. The background score is also good.
About my experience while watching this movie:
"Jhing Chik Jhing" means happiness, joy. Jhing Chik Jhing means something better has happened in
life. Jhing Chik Jhing is about farmers. Jhing Chik Jhing is about how farmers should change their
thinking about farming and how they should think about going for organic farming instead of spending
lot of money on chemicals. Jhing Chik Jhing is about suicudes done by farmers of Vidharbha. This
movie is very good. It has very serious topic but it is handled in very well manner. This one is a
must watch movie and sure to get National Award.
