I travelled by Jet Airways several times on several sectors. Most of the journey were good.
Once I was travelling from Agartala to Kolkata in an evening flight. As I had to purchase the ticket with the most expensive price in the last minute, thanks to cancellation of another airlines flight on that day by which I was destined to go, I was told by the over the counter person that I would not be entertained with any meal on the flight as they were facing shortage of meal. Despite paying a whopping Rs. 4500 for the journey, it was hard to believe! Still I could not say anything as I have purchased the ticket in the last minute and I had to reach Kolkata to catch a connecting flight.
The over the counter person even wrote "NO MEAL" by pen on my boarding pass and I proceeded to the security enclosure. On board, I saw, it was a flight loaded with passengers with no seat vacant, it was a big airbus, but I felt a bit hot even in winter season inside the aircraft. Just imagine the heat and suffocation! My seat was allotted on last row near to the toilet. Still, I had no way but to accept the situation.
Anyway, flights took off on time and I felt a bit comfort in the air. I was feeling so much suffocated in the ground. When they started giving refreshments, to my utter surprise, I was given a full course of meal like other fellow passengers. I honestly asked the air hostess about the matter and shown my boarding pass written NO MEAL, she politely told me that they managed meals of all the passengers in the flight. I thanked her as I was really hungry by this time. I was exhausted and tired as my early flight took all my energy off by delaying and later got cancelled.
So, overall it was a nice experience from Jet Airways. Though, ground stuff behavior was a bit rude on that day.
Once I landed in Agartala from Kolkata only in 33 minutes with Jet. It was the fastest and shortest air travel in my life time.I flew between Guwahati to Kolkata to and fro via Jet. I always liked the experience. I travelled Delhi from Kolkata via Jet, it was also a good experience.Flight attendants are courteous, professional and co operative. The ambiance inside the aircraft is cool and comfortable. Seats are spacious and all the functionalities are working properly. I seldom sleep in flight, but I usually took nap couple of times in jet airways, as the journey mostly happens to be a smooth ride, with out much bumping in the air pockets.
Their price is a bit higher side, this is an issue if I compare with other low cost airlines.
Still, I recommend Jet Airways if you are after a safe, comfortable air travel.
