I am at Jaipur Airport waiting to fly on 9W 2054 which has been postponed from 20:40 to 22:00, then to 22:55, then to 23:30, then to 24:00, then to 00:30. Of course the flight still hasn't left Mumbai at 22:15. They have claimed that the flight has not left Mumbai where there is only 1 runaway operating.
Strangely from other passengers traveling on this flight in the past, there is a standard delay of 45 minutes regularly on this particular flight. Jet Airways has permitted each passenger to take a single sandwich or snack with coffee or tea. That is within the budget that is permitted for a 3 hours delay. Interestingly when I asked a Jet Airways representative if they will put up passengers in Jaipur in a Hotel in case they can't fly out tonight, the retort was 9W 2054 is not a full service flight. It is an economy flight.
Therefore people forced to stay over in Jaipur will not have an option other than sleeping in their respective seats. They are only suppose to offer the over night hotel stay to full service passengers. Even being a platinum card holder is not good enough!!!
