Wow... this serial is sure to give Ekta Kapoor a run for her money....
Move aside family dramas, detective serials and sitcoms, Jassi's here.
The bespectacled lovable girl, Jassi, is here to win over hearts with her brain, hard work, and commitment sans beauty.
The story
The story revolves around Jasmit Walia, alias Jassi, who is on her way to reach to the very top. She gets a job as a secretary to the chairman of Gulmohur, a fashion house, but her capabilities and commitment gets her into a better position than any ordinary secretary. People working in Gulmohur can't tolerate Jassi because of her looks and dressing style, espescially people like Pari, Jassi's competitor, Mallika and Aryan. But her boss, chairman of Gulmohur - suave and handsome Armaan Suri and his friend Raj are all praise for her, as she is the one who fishes out Armaan from troubled waters, so that his chairmanship doesn't get taken over by Aryan. Amidst the ''enemies'' in Gulmohur, she has managed to make friends too, who calls themselves ''the gang'' and sometimes helps out Jassi from various problems.
The Cast
Each and every member of the cast performs brilliantly, espescially Jassi. Her acting is very natural and despite her odd looks and dressing style, she keeps the audience clinged to their TV sets. Armaan Suri (Apoorva Agnihtori) looks dashing and smart and carries off his character well. Raj, Mallika, Pari, Aryan, Nandu, and everyone else puts in a lot of effort.
Review
Well.... Jassi is a character than anyone can relate to. She's neither the ideal bahu nor are there any ideal saas. It follows a very realistic storyline. Though the serial deals with office stuff, still it is quite fast paced, so that audience don't get bored because of unnecessary office jargons and the like. The music and humor also adds to the serial. The script is very good and the serial should be liked by everyone under the sun.
