The Jamawar restaurant at Leela is one of the best places in Bangalore to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant offers good food and excellent service. I generally rate restaurants on quality of food and speed of delivery and Jamawar gets 10 on 10 in both parameters.

Food: You may generally find a food festival on at Jamawar, so it's always a good option to check which state is being celebrated before going to the restaurant.(I was lucky to get Delhi festival food there.) The quality of food is great! From drinks(mock tails) to desserts, the meal is cooked to perfection. I particularly love the array of mints they serve with the bill. There are almost 10 different types of chewey things on a tray and one can take their pick.

Ambiance: They have a royal look with music to match the festival. The lights are perfect and a small diya on the table just makes your day. They have both indoor and outdoor seating space.

Service: Service is good and the food is usually served in about 15 minutes of ordering(which is pretty neat). The food presentation is okay but has some scope for improvements.

Prices: Ouch! This is the tricky part. The restaurant is quite expensive. An average meal for two(without hard drinks) can be around Rs 2500.

Although costly, I would still give both thumbs up to Jamawar because when you are dining with a special someone and want to treat her to the royal experience that she can remember(and write a review on), the prices become insignificant:)
