*Here they speak  Bahasa  Indonesian .  Indonesian Language has some influence  of  Dutch language .   Here they pronounce  V as  Fa  so they speak like  are you  Fagiterian   instead of Vegetarian.

Here you can find  common words  as compare to Hindi  like

Here you will find problem in communication  if you stick to English only.  Here most of the people do not speak English so best way is to learn Important word in bahasa  & also learn about how to numbers.

People

Generally it has been seen that if you visit  another  state  within India or another country  , because you are new  in that place  people try to cheat you.   I do not come across any single incident  where  people try to cheated  me    in   2 month stay in Jakarta.

Although  it is Muslim country  ,   People are too cool  and  they are not aggressive.  They are very discipline  and polite.   I was amazed by this behavior.

Helmet is  compulsory for  2 wheelers and you you will see all the people  obey that rule.   You will not see people overtaking on roads  and they go behind  one another .  I have to ask  my local friend that  where can I find people  fighting   [  Joke ]

Religion

Majority is  Muslim  population  and after that you can find   Catholic, Buddhist  & Hindus.   Like in Bali majority  of Hindu population and they worship  Lord Shiva

Entertainment

Malls  are in good number  & they are too good    [  like Sarina ,   Ciputra, Tamann Angarek   ].   You can see even Hindi movie  near  Block M  multiplex.

You also can visit Hard rock Café   & there are many place where people go for Karoke.    Here they have nice  amusement park   - Duniya Fantasy . Here you must try  Tornedo  Ride   it is too exciting.  Here entrance fees during Ramadan  was    50, 000  IDR

Also you can visit Taman Safari  where you can see  animals  from all around the world. I have not been there so do not have much idea. It is nice to sit near circle of  Plaza Indonesia in night.   You can see  huge status of   Lord Krishna  - Arjuna  with  horse  near Monas.  Monas is famous place in Jakarta where people come for jogging , relataxion, dance & sports.

*Food

Nasi Gorang , Nasi Chapchey  are common dish here.   I tired one but never want to try again.   **If you are pure vegetarian  do not worry.    We have good Indian restaurant  like

You can go to Komlas for  South Indian food , it is good  . Haveli you can try for  Punjabi   and other Indian dish.

CALL  ON    021-  72800505    and you can order food  at your work place,  home     from Komlas  or  Haveli .   They charge around   18, 000    to   25, 000    for  one delivery but it is worth  to  order.

Travel

You can  take   Taxi    [  TAKSI ].   Here people trust  Blue Bird the most.     You can take Bike ,  here they call as  Ozek   and this is used by  many people  including  girls also   & they are professional  bikers so I  used this service few of the time and I enjoyed it.

Also you can try  Auto , they call it  Bajaj. Shape of  Auto is some what funny from back side.   I never tried this one.    I was impressed with  Government Bus    - Transjakarta .  They have separate road  for this bus  so  you can reach fast to your destination  and  they are many   stops  [ bus station  ] where you can take the bus.    It is nice experience to go by  Transjakarta.

You can go to Block M  using this bus.   In Block M subway you can buy lots of  stuff like  bag,  pouch and much more.  Here I want to mention that  here they have rule of  registration of  Number plates , so  car owner has to renew the number plate every year  and pay some charge to goverment so  in  car number plate you can also see  expiry date  -   one photo is there in Video.

*Shopping

*Bandung is famous for that.   I liked shopping in Sarina  Mall  , you can visit   4 &  5 floor which has exclusitve  Indonesian Art collection - called Batik.

Place around  Jakarta

*You can visit Bali  and Borobudhur    temple   [ Famous  Buddhist  temple  ].   Well  you can go to Bali by  Air  to Borobudhur  by   Air  or  Train .
