If you are die hard fan of Ranbir Kapoor, then go ahead and watch this movie. As usual, he has done wonderful job. Further, this movie is full family entertainer and target audience is kids.
Katrina narrates the story of Jagga Jasoos to the kids visiting the book fair. The movies is musical as our hero, a 7-8 year old kid is scared to speak as he stammers and instead of taking him to speech therapist, his adopted father tells him to sing and express himself through medium of music. So sometimes you get bored as there is no normal dialogue for the Jasoos in the entire film. As a schoolboy he tries to solve the mystery behind his teacher's death and you find the whole school dancing and singing with him as he tells it was murder not suicide. It appears like a fairy tale. The first part of the movie had background of Manipur and north-east of India. The cinematography and scenic beauty is good.
The theme of the movie is bond of love between father and son. It also refers to illegal supply of arms in the country by outside sources.
Father in the movie sends son birthday gifts every year to his hostel but keeps secret of his identity and work from his son. Son is eagerly waiting for his birthday gift which he doesn't receive but he reads about his father's death. Then he comes to know that his father is alive in Africa and leaves for the city with the journalist, Katrina,
After intermission, the movies gets speed up. Hero along with heroine runs from one place to another to search and finally succeeds in finding his father.
The movies is musical but the music is not so appealing. This movie is recommended for kids and people who like musical movies.The movie is recommended, but not for everybody.
