I watched that movie with my friend at wide angle cinema, Ahmedabad. Seriously this was a very boring movie. Both my friend and I disliked that movie. It was an another entery of floop movie fir ranbir kapoor.
It was a very high budget movie costing around 130 crores but earned only around 80 to 85 crores. So it was a bad stroke from ranbir kapoor.
I think breakup between ranbir kapoor and Katrina kaif effected the movie.
That movie was produced, directed screenplayed and storied by anurag basu. A nd it was a disney presentation musical adventure movie.
You can see that in all the Hollywood movies there are not even a single song. But this movie is full of the song. Every conversationa are made into music. The conversation are very difficult to understand. And the flow of movie goes away and away. How can you make a two and half an hour movie only with music and song.
Ranbir kapoor was a stammering boy through out his childness. And his told father tells him to sing and say to come over his stammering as song comes from different part of brain than nirmal speech.
Ranbir Kapoor is curious from his childhood and he was adopted by bagchi( saswat Chatterjee) . He was a very conspicuous but a polite person. In very short time he put jagga in a convent school and flies away.
Jagga learns every thing from VHS tapes received on his every birthday from Bagchi. And starts to solve out cases.
I liked the clock tower case solved by him. That was only a logical thing shown in the movie.
And rest of the part he solve with the help of shruti( katreena kaif) .
I could not understand why that so much bigger boys are still studying in school. And they do not have any work rather than singing with jagga.
Where ever jagga goes everyone starts to sing.
The two other cases were logicless and so funny.
The movie was looking just like we are reading some kid novel. There is no much adventure and comedy into it.
Finally with funny tricks jagga finds his father and reveal the Purulia arm racket.
So it was very poor film by great person anurag basu. Failed to attract people. And I suggest him not to make that kind of movies again.
Hollywood has a lot of stories and innovations. I don't understand in which era Bollywood is living.
