Go to Delhi Darbar for affordable, authentic moghlai food. You can have hot parathas, butter chicken, biryani and dessert for 3 within Rs. 300/-. Isn't that good?
Also, the food is quite authentic and non-spicy. The service is quick and efficient. I have been here 2-3 times and the quality was very consistent. Also, they have daily special items which are great. Do try them.
My favourites here are the mutton khichda, butter chicken and the biryanis. A must-have here is the caramel custard. This caramel custard (and Lucky's) is the best I have tasted. My husband is a connaisseur of caramel custard (he has it in every restaurant) and his vote is for this one. It is so silky and soft and melts in the mouth. Also, it does not smell of egg like some do.
This Delhi Durbar is near 7 bungalows at the end of the main road opposite a park. Keep going along the main road (which hosts several good restaurants like Pop Tates, Legacy of China, Pizzeria etc.). Where the road naturally turns left, the restaurant is situated on the turn. Another plus point here is that the restaurant is never very crowded (we had gone there on a Saturday night and did not have to wait). Also, there is parking available, though not much (5-6 cars).
Do try this one for affordable Mughlai food.
