My order no. 131214333420820 of 14th December 2013. It was delivered on 20th December 2013. I live in Delhi, so one could say that delivery is very slow as they claim they can deliver within one day in Delhi. But since I bought during GOSF, so Jabong guys could be excused due to heavy number of orders. Maybe they were overwhelmed with huge number or orders during GOSF and it took them time to service these orders. Anyway, I am not complaining about one week later delivery as I was duly informed through SMS updates.
Now coming back to the main point: about online payment gateway system of Jabong.com.
While ordering the same product myself online on the website, the anti-virus software prevented me from going to the payment gateway page of Jabong.com. I use genuine and paid Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 [all definitions updated as I am connected to the internet regularly]. I was in Mozilla Firefox. I am not sure about the version of Mozilla Firefox as on 14th December. It could be version 25.0 or 26.0 as on the day of order. Version 26.0 is the latest version of Mozilla as of today, and I am using the latest version as of now [on 26th December]. I have Windows 7 Ultimate Professional on my computer. I generally use virtual keyboard [security feature in Kaspersky Internet Security] and actual keyboard to enter my credit card/debit card details. That means, I don't enter my card details with one mode fully. I use both modes. I am not advertising Kaspersky here. I am really honest as my credit card was once hacked when I used it on Shopclues.com. Shopclues.com uses CC Avenue payment gateway. Since then, I have been extremely cautious while transacting online.
The message coming from the anti virus was that the page contains a phishing URL, hence I was blocked from going to the payment gateway page. This is really strange as I intended to use my credit card to make payment there.
Since the price was too good due to GOSF discounts, I finally ordered the products through their phone helpline. It was really a breeze to order through their phone helpline. The executive was very soft spoken and well behaved throughout. So no problems on that front. I also informed the same security breach issue with the executive while placing the order on the phone. He assured me that he shall escalate this matter to his team, but I have not heard from them since then on this.
But I would be really cautious of using my credit/debit card on Jabong.com. In fact, I won't use it on Jabong.com. All the readers should also consider this thing before using the online payment mode.
Other than this, I have nothing against Jabong.com. The product was packaged satisfactorily. The product is genuine too. I really saved some good amount of money during GOSF through Jabong.com. Moreover, they keep on having some good offers continuously, which is a good thing. But Jabong guys need to be very very proactive and cautious about this security breach issue. It can really ruin them if they ignore it.
