I am writing this review on an old movie, as I saw this movie on Sony last week. This was a low profile release of Sudhir Mishra in 1996. Mahesh Bhatt produced movie.
Star Cast
Nirmal Panday, Ashish Vidyarthi, Tara Deshpande, Smriti Mishra, Saurabh Shukla,Deepak Qazir and many. The peculiarity of this is movie is that, most of the, rather all of them were products of National School of Drama (NSD). So I personally feel acting can't be
questioned at all.
Plot
The movie as name implies, is story of one night where hero gets involved with underworld. It is a Mixture of Art and Commercial Plot. Movie starts with a conflict between NP and TD (Husband-Wife) over a love affair of NP with SM. NP went a bar for a drink where he had a quarrel with AV (Villain). When he realizes he has been humiliated NP
run away from there. Rest of the Movie moves around running of AV after NP and some times NP after AV. But the Direction is so good you enjoy this small plot. The best part of the Direction has very well portrayed the Underworld in this small movie. Director also needs
to be appreciated for keeping suspense in the movie.
Songs
Movie has two very good songs.
Chup hum rahein, chup tum raho,
Jeevan kya hai.
Rest of the songs is being put just for the sake of songs.
Cons
Tara Deshpande's voice.
