Fraud company with fake reviews. Review on Insaraf

Sincere advice to open your eyes and see the one-star reviews before buying anything from saraf furniture. This particular review is for Gachibowli branch Hyderabad but applies to online store as well since they are one and the same.

I did the mistake of visiting the showroom where they show amazing teakwood furniture and ignoring the reviews and repenting my mistake. Please do not do the same mistake. Read along and decide for yourself.

I was well aware of the negative reviews when I purchased a bed around 2 years ago. The showroom guys sweet talk you with 'teak wood' and 'lifetime warranty' on any material damage that covers wood breakage in odd case anything breaks where the part will be replaced for free. This will create a momentary lapse in your judgement and you end up buying, don't fall for it.

First of all, only the parts which are visible externally are teak. That is strong alright, but connecting rods and structure that actually supports the weight are all poor and thin wood with no engineering behind weight bearing capacity. If you are expecting quality like teak wood furniture from our parents era which outlive generations, you are in for a rude surprise.

Please check the picture, close to 1.5 years from purchase the central column broke and that's where the nightmare starts! Store visits and email communication will drain you and will have no resolution. That's when you will realise that the lifetime warranty is all but a joke and scam. Even if they say they won't repair, we can throw the piece of junk in the dustbin and move on with our lives, but they keep the hope alive for 6-8 months that a replacement part is coming at which point you realize that it is never going to come and it is all a scam.

This bed was in the children's bedroom and used by a 7 year old kid and rarely. Imagine a useless bed occupying most your kid's room where no one can sleep and the kid has to sleep on the floor nearby for 6-8 months while they were apparently updating me on the replacement part. Horror.

Both the products are substandard and without proper engineering principles and service is pathetic to put it mildly. On top of that they will take 2 months to deliver initially which means a product will be built only upon order, which means absolutely no risk on them and all risk is on the buyer, seriously what kind of business model is this when you can get things off the shelf everywhere else? People only put up with all this only for 'teak furniture' and 'lifetime warranty', both of which you can now see that is just to lure you into buying and decorative purpose, nothing else.

So, In spite of all the above warnings, if you are ready to buy here, be aware of the following. You pay full price at the start and they attempt to make your furniture only after a month and it will reach you anywhere between 2-3 months. You will notice that although the wood is teak, it is only for decorative purpose, not strength, most load bearing wood be local wood with no engineering backing. It will break soon after one year(in which 2-3 months is eaten by delivery only). Then begins the nightmare of warrenty claim. First, they will agree to send someone to see which is a paid service, no one would come for 2 months, they will say they are sending replacements by seeing the pictures, again there will be no improvements for the next 6 months. End of 6-8 months, you decide to write a review like this and throw the stuff away for which you have to pay for disposal. So, if buying a good looking piece of furniture and keeping it for 10-12 months is your idea, go ahead and buy. But if buying a strong piece of real wood teak furniture that will outlive you, AVOID.

I will go on to write about this company and create awareness on other social media platforms. Will fix the review if they resolve within the month but I have no hope. My current plan is to throw away the bed at the end of the month and update here so it stays as a wakeup call to the potential buyers and the company as well. I am done with this company.

I might seek help from consumer forums but don't expect anything there too.
