This valentine season was a complete disaster for a few. my brother in law and sister experienced the worst of online shopping having to gone up against such blantant negligence and outright poor service.
my Bro-in-law ordered (from indiatimes) a basket of 100 flowers to be sent to my sister, out of town and despite the fact that he specifically selected the product from thier online valentine section, the flowers reached the destination on the SAME day as the order (which was three days before valentines). we all laughed it off as TOO much efficiency. but ofcourse it was just that the VERY expensive online service was try to clear out orders as and when they arrived in the name of efficiency.
my sister ordered a combo gift (from the same site), to be sent to her husband, again out of town and so far 4 days after the event, they still have to be delivered. the maddeningly unhelpful call service that indiatimes has installed in the name of customer care gives such foolish answers as:
1) we don't give any Gaurantee of delivering the ordered product in ANY time frame
2)we will deliver it latest by 9 in the NIGHT
Now if someone has ordered flowers for valentine's the least that can be expected is that they be delivered on the same date if not a decent hour. after four days of listening to their call in tune for hours, they say we MIGHT cancel the order.
If in the next SIX days our vendor (who is obviously incompetent too) does not deliver the order, then we will tell you that your order is cancelled. GOD only knows whether we will receive any money back or they'll just gobble that up too in the name of service charge for their incompetency!
Ofcourse any mails to the customer service goes unanswered! These are the people that give online shopping a bad name, they can be anybodys worst nightmare. infact my mohalla florist was far more efficient and far less expensive!
