Every time the Indian Cricket Team steps onto the field about half a billion fools (that includes me) glued to their television sets, hope for a miracle. It is not to be. The word team just doesn't apply for India.
They are a bunch of players who just perform for themselves: in short they are selfish. They've got the highest averages, highest scores and hundreds of other records. But then at the end of the day they are eleven expert chokers and loosers. They win one series and loose ten in a row.
They earn around 10-25 crore a year just for loosing. I think the money factor is taking its toll. They are not able to handle that god like status that we Indians have given them. I think the time's come when Team Indian needs to regroup. For a beginning, Sehwag's got just too many chances. Remove him, remove Sourav; Dravid can be a very good captain.
Once these overconfident lot are removed, they shall realise the essence of hardwork. Performance should be a criterion for selection not reputation. Even players like Sachin should be removed if they do not perform.
We should learn from Australia who didn't hesitate to remove the Waugh brothers, Miachel Bevan and others. Thats why they are the world champions.
