Now that the Team has lost the series to Australia after losing the third test at Nagpur by about 540 runs, its time to analyse their problems.
It is difficult to understand that while all other teams put up a great fight before losing, our team meekly surrenders. They give a variety of reasons saying that it is a batting pitch, our pitch does not suit our bowlers,or it is seaming track etc.,
Moreover our batsmen sem to have taken their places for granted. It is observed that none of our batsman had any inclination to stay at the wicket. On paper the Indian Batsmen are Tigers. But on the pitch ,they are always a pack of losers. A great batsman should have the potential and worth of playing irrespective of the conditions of the pitch except when he is sick or carrying an injury.
This is not just a passing remark but comes out of agony on seeing our batsmen play. Further while the batsmen in opposition bat well, our guys fail to deliver at the same pitch and similar conditions , not once or twice but regularly. Only once in a blue moon, do they perform. Further it would be heartening to let our batting order be reversed, since the lower order batsmen have shown atleast an inclination to play.
Since our top order batsmen have never really lasted for enough time to see the shine off the new ball, it may be worth to send our lower order batsmen since they atleast contribute about 25-30 runs each. So much for the great Indian batting line up!
