Never book your travel--Worst Cab service. Review on India Tourist Taxi

Hello traveler friends, it’s my sincere request to all of you please never ever book your travel or cab through India Tourist Taxi & Musafir Cab. Both services are managed by the same owner. My travel experience with them was the worst & horrible I have ever faced in my life.

I & my other friends made a plan to travel Nepal from Patna in January 2020, so from the Internet, we came to know about these taxi services & contacted them. They offered us a good deal for the travel from Patna-Nepal(Kathmandu)-Patna, of which we agreed & paid advance amount in November. After receiving the advance amount, they didn’t respond for 2/3 days. We kept on chasing them for several days for receipt & other details but they didn’t respond to our calls or messages. After a few days, the agent sent the advance receipt & told us to give the rest amount to the driver during our journey to the driver. Also, he told us that he will send the driver details one day prior to our journey.

We contacted the agent for driver details but despite our number of calls & WhatsApp messages, he didn’t respond to any of. We reached Patna and contacted the agent again. He gave us a driver’s number & we contacted the driver, initially, he refused us to travel with us. So we made calls to India Tourist Taxi agent, he again gave us the same driver’s number. We kept on waiting at Patna for more than 7 hours for the driver to pick us up. Our journey supposed to start at 7 am from Patna but we started around 3 pm from Patna.

As per our deal discussed prior to giving the advance amount, the agent told us there is no hidden charge as the entire cost of the trip includes toll fees, Border entry fees to Nepal, parking fees & driver’s expenses & we don’t have to pay anything. But when we started our journey from Patna around 3 pm, we gave money for diesel. The driver was completely unknown about the routes & he misguided us to a different route where we had wasted nearly 3 hours. Then with the help of villagers, we reached the Nepal border for the immigration process. The driver was so unprofessional that he hadn’t brought his original DL & RC of car for which we had to pay Rs 5000 INR instead of 2500 INR. During this time both, the Agent & driver didn’t cooperate with us for which we had to bear a lot of troubles at the Nepal border.

After some time we entered the Nepal border, we halted in a Dhaba for dinner, where the driver got drunk heavily & started driving though we warned him several times. As he was unaware of the routes, we continued our journey by asking cops on road. The driver took us through an off-road which was very very dangerous for car driving & some situations happened where we were about slipped off the cliff. Luckily we survived & reached Kathmandu after 12 hours of driving. When we reached the hotel, the driver insisted us to stay in our hotel, but we had the deal that we are not supposed to take care of the driver’s expenses.

We tried calling the agent to clarify things but he didn’t pick our calls. We came to know that the agent had told the driver that we will take care of his expenses which were completely different from our deal.

Then we had a verbal spat with the driver as he was very very rude with us & abused us multiple times. Then somehow we managed the situation & checked in our hotel. Starting that day the driver was always insisting us to pay for his food bills & came to our hotel restaurant while we were doing breakfast.

The horrible part was that he ate dinner & took drinks worth Rs 3000 INR with our name at a hotel restaurant. During our stay, the driver humiliated us a number of times & sometimes the verbal spat leaded physical as well. The driver was drinking all day & was doing some nuisance behavior with us & was driving very rashly in Nepal. In some cases, he had a fight with local traffic cops & parking guys while being drunk.

After our trip got over, the driver asked us to pay his restaurant bill & the rest of the amount. When we denied paying his bills he abused us very badly & refused us to drive back to Patna. Again we called the India Tourist Taxi agent but he didn't give us any resolution. Also, the driver threatened us with consequences if we won’t pay his bill & rest amount.

Then being hopeless & helpless with the situation, we didn’t get any support from both India Tourist Taxi agent & the driver. We took help from a local guy & returned to Patna in a very dangerous situation.

So, guys, this is my request & suggestion, don’t waste your money & don’t put your life at risk while you are planning a vacation. If you want more details please write back to my email ID(vsantoshcherlla84@gmail.com)
