I have been using ICICI bank credit card for a long time and was happy with their reward points. I had never have any problem with the product redeeming my reward points. Last month ICICI announced that they are stopping their Xpress Reward and have a tie up with Imint points who will now manage these division. After some days I got my imint card. I logged on to their site and found that it is quiet good and there are number of options to redeem my points though the charges are high compared with the ICICI bank's Xpress reward. They also have tie up with Airtel, HPCL etc to accumulate points. I have a postpaid Airtel connection so I linked my imint card with that Airtel number and after two days I was rewarded with points from Airtel. On 1st week of January I redeemed some of my points against Reachable battery from imint. It was a pack of 4 AA battery. So I redeem for that. After 3 days I got my product and after opening I found that it was a Sony Battery 3000mA capacity. Wow what a deal for 700 imint points. Now that is the end of the story that conveys that iMint is really good.
I used those battery for my torch. After one day I found that battery are exhausted fully. So I recharged it for 8 hrs but again after 1 day it exhausted fully though I never use that. But my Eveready 800mA capacity battery works well for months. I tested the battery with after appliances and same results for all. Those batteries are all scrap. Basically they provide me some duplicate Sony Battery(But packaging did not looks like a duplicate one) or they are faulty product. One of my office colleague also told me the same story with his product. Imint business is clear. They tie up with different company to dump their out of date, faulty product to the customer. Marketing is good and with is scrap product they are able to manage high profit.
P.S: 1. The merchandiser was Gift360.in
- I have lodged a compliant to imint customer care. They told that with 10 days they will replace the product. Let see.
*Update on 28th Jan
*I had not got any response from their end so I called today. Now they are saying their policy has been changed and it is now my duty to return back to the product. Also they gave me the vendor number and I need to contact him for the negotiation for replacement of the products.
So a imint is a totally fraud company.
Good News:After this review and complain letter to ICICI bank iMint reverted back the points to my account. So these works.
