IFB is an Indian based company that manufactures and markets household appliances like washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, dryers, dishwashers etc. Having got positive feedback from my cousin regarding their front-loading washing machine- Senorita Aqua SX - 6.5 KG, I decided it was time to replace my old Samsung washing machine. I placed an order with Flipkart as there was an exchange offer available during one of their festive sale. It's been almost six months now since I'm using this washing machine but I still regret my decision to buy it.
I've nothing against Flipkart. Delivery was quick and smooth with hardly any issues from their end. However, I'm really annoyed with the services of IFB. There is no doubt that the product is good and has some really cool features but every day after purchasing this has been more of a nightmare.
Firstly, I had to call up their customer care several times to request them to send someone for installation and demo. In spite of repeated requests, the installation person came around 10 days late after the product delivery. Next, finally when the installation and demo guy from IFB arrived at my place, he started trying to convince us into buying products like stabilizer, cover, stand, filter and several other things which would cost us another 3- 5k. After much persuasion, we finally bought the stand which costed us nearly 2k. Anyway, our next headache started when the washing machine started making abnormal noise and started vibrating badly especially during spin. When we contacted their customer care, we were asked to remove the stand as it was unnecessary and not recommended by them. Okay so that means we spent 2k for nothing. Now recently, this washing machine has again started giving us trouble. It has completely stopped working since past two weeks. After raising a ticket and repeated calls to their customer care, IFB finally sent a technician to our place. He told us that the motor belt has broken and needs to be replaced. It's been a week now and we haven't still received any proper feedback from IFB.
We are really frustrated with the after sales support we received from IFB. Our washing machine is still under warranty but it has become completely useless now. Their customer care tells us that they will get it fixed once the spare parts are available. God only knows when. I'd definitely not recommend this product to anyone but instead I'd suggest to go for a washing machine from some other brand where the sales support is good as well.
