. I thought to again buy AMC for my IFB washing machine after discontinuing it in between on having additional washing machine of LG make. I could not rely on proper functioning of IFB machine without having its AMC . I registered my request for it on its toll free No. and got its AMC on 23.2.2018 vide its receipt- Voucher bearing book No. 2998 and serial No. 3017029980 dated 23.2.2018 for Rs. 3068/- The AMC was given after inspection of the machine and finding it working well by IFB's man one Mr. Roshan. The payment was made by me vide my cheque dated 23.2.2018 for Rs. 3068/- drawn On BOI.
A few days back the machine has become dysfunctional. I made the complaint on IFB toll free No. for its repair . Toll free No. registered my complaint vide its ticket No. 1001249688 on 29.3.2018. A mechanic from IFB service centre came thereafter and informed me that its part needed to be replaced and he would come back to my place after getting the same from the company. He did not turn up for many days and instead yesterday I received a phone call from phone No. 49544712 from one Mr. Mukesh informing that I will have to pay for the part to be replaced. It was very much surprising and illogical. I asked him how have I to pay for it when I have AMC for the machine. He said that he can not give reply to it. Thereefore yesterday I sent it legal notice in which besides other things I asked it to Quote me the cost for the part to be replaced pending my separately deaing l with the matter arising from its not honouring its AMC on the matter and demanding money for changing the part in contravention of the AMC and has defrauded and cheated me in this regard. If IFB has not to bear the cost of parts during AMC period then does it charge AMC amount of Rs. 3068/- just to keep this money in its pocket without its any liability for it. Why did it not mention in the AMC that cost of parts are not covered in it. It was their legal obligation to mention this so that the AMC buyer could think about its worth and refuse to buy it on finding that if cost of the parts if needed to be replaced has to be paid over and above the AMC cost then what for AMC has to be bought/ taken In IFB earlier AMCs the changing of parts too was included and it was for this that I bought its AMC again last month also I pointed out in my legal notice to the IFB that as per court records IFB had even agreed to replace parts of my machine free of cost after the withdrawal of cases also by me against it which I had earlier filed . But still I have not used this statement made in court by IFB and have paid it for many years by buying its AMCs and paid for the recent AMC also . It is the IFB whose greed, unfair, unethical and fraudulent activities are making it to act shamelessly even to the extent of demanding more money over the already charged on finding that some small part in the machine under AMC will have to be changed and thereby openly showing that the amount of Rs. 3068 /- for AMC was like their loot amount and they have not to do anything against it.
