I was in a need to change my operator for my primary BSNL No in Kanpur 94537 to some better operator in my Air Force area. I had fluctuating signals all the time, frequent disconnection and almost no 3G signal. Customer care gave me dockets two times which they closed it without rectifying it!
I searched the web and found that more people have switched over to Idea as MNP mode. I had never tried Idea in any of my postings. I also came to know that It had the best 3G coverage in my residence.
On 25 th Sep, I carefully submitted all the relevant documents and the very next day I received a message from 55506 that my MNP no was in process and very soon my number will be sent to the current operator(BSNL) for approval.
My agony starts:-
I had exhausted my BSNL balance by 8 th of October by calling even some non essential mobile numbers as my BSNL balance was not going to be transferred to IDEA.
I was in a fix almost. Upon asking my POS Idea at Harjindernagar(Lalbangla, Kanpur), Mob 7275012564(indeed grateful that he provided his number!) he kept saying that he would ask the Idea sales representative and to have more patience!
As I was to move to Delhi for few days 10 Oct onward, I was furious as I was not given proper reason of the delay. Upon a lot of pressurization I got the Idea Kanpur sales executive no 9889009119, Mr P Pandey who did not answer me correctly, instead blamed my present operator and `instructed` me to find out the reason from BSNL!
I wasted next whole day and reached up to GM BSNL Kanpur to perfectly believe that Idea did not send my number for approval!
=I just ask very `professional` Idea.You did not have courtesy to send me sms of the delay once you crossed the deadline for MNP(7 days).==
Mr Pandey`s justification was beyond my comprehension and observing my patience loosing out gave his senior mob 9889009076, Mr Mishra. I sent him sms for calling me and waited for one hour but I was not called.
However, I received a `great` information upon calling him that my documents have been rejected!
I ask one more question Idea sir jee.*Once I was a valued customer of BSNL for more than two years on the same certificate provided by my department for which you felt to be forged. When I was part of the Uttrakhand rescue team from IAF, I and my team members did not even know the `IDs` of the countrymen whom I tried to save. Here is a mobile operator who found my department given certificate `forged`
Thank you Idea for following so called TRAI guidelines. But could you follow the same guidelines when you crossed the MNP deadline!
But I did not give up.
I called the tolled number of Idea 9889012345 and wanted to talk to the higher officials. I was kept on hold for few minutes and disconnected. Tried again and it happened twice! To avoid the further wastage of money I mailed at ccare@idea.adityabirla.com.
Very happy to receive call within few minutes from Mr Vilas Chaudhari that they have rejected my MNP request. I expected a genuine sorry for their lapses leading to my suffering who had submitted even the colour xerox of his photo ID as the part of CAF!
Unfortunately, I can not approach the Nodal/Appellate as I was not Idea subscriber.

Strictly NO NO for Idea, sir jee.
