I have been using an Idea post paid connection for more than one year now. I had taken a connection seeing the advts. in newspapers. Features of the plan are 750 local mobile calls(within Kerala any GSM mobile) @ 10ps. and 200 local SMS free for a monthly rent of RS.199/-.
Though my friends warned me that they may not stick to the plan and surely jack up the tariff after one or two billing cycles, I told them that in case such a thing happens I can always ask for a disconnection. But to the utter surprise of my friends, IDEA has not deviated and continue to honour the plan. I am very happy with their service at the customer services department. But they have not updated their recorded services segment. I am also happy that they have reduced the STD tariff to Rs.1.30 per minute which is the lowest in the industry today. Hats off to IDEA.
The bills are sent regularly in time and there is enough time between the billing date and payment date. In case one needs a detailed bill, he can opt for an e mail bill.
At present a Corporate plan 299 is available with them as a post paid connection in which 2000 minutes of Idea to Idea and 400 minutes of local mobile talk time comes free for monthly rent of Rs.299/- and further details can be had from Idea customer service.
