Fast(er) access to ICICIDIRECT. Review on ICICI Securities

For those poor suffering souls (clients) of icicidirect, now there is a relatively faster option to log on to icicidirect (provided you can open their first page) - click on the link to log on with low bandwidth -

I am in fact a co sufferer in this regard. If you cant get even the first page then directly logon using the url:

The interface is rudimentary.

The available functionalities are:

Equity

Buy / Sell

Fast Buy / Sell

Order book (Modification / cancellation of order is not available, yet)

Trade book

Demat Balance

Limit

Modify Allocation

Get Quote (Useful to monitor LTP)

Select Account

ICLICK-2-GAIN (I dont know why this was important!)

IPO

Portfolio

and of course

Logout

Functionality not yet available

Derivatives (has since been added).

Commodities

Buy and Sell allows both margin and delivery trades which is fine.

Including the cancel / modify order in the order book is imperative. Without this feature the new facility is as good as use less. It can be used for panic selling or buying - which is what icicidirect probably want.(This feature has also been added)

Including Derivatives is also a must, because I mostly go in for derivatives trades - but implementation may be a problem because of the large no of contracts available.

Right now no IPOs are open - so I dont know whether this feature is functional or not.

*Last resort:

*I would recommend using this because when you are not able to get to the site - it at least gives you a means to place orders when in an emergency.

What surprises me is that ICICIDRECT have not publicized this feature through their newletters / email; I chanced upon this feature when I was able to get their first page by pure luck.There might be quite a lot of unlucky users who still do not know of this feature.

I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars as the site now offers a lot of the functionalities.
