I have an ICICI HP Silver card. Its a nightmare for me.
Where do I start. Its been a pain in the asss from the day one.
1)The agent that visited me promised me the credit limit thrice as much as my basic salary.
When I got the card its little below my basic salary. And so far I have over run the limit twice and paid fine for that.250 rupees each time.
2)They didnt send me the statement for first couple of months. SO its quite natural I missed my due dates. When I complained about the same, the response was more hostile than friendly. They always claim they have dispatched the statement and not going to entertain me on this.
3) Not all their promotional offers are trustworthy. I prefered a HP card coz petrol one of my frequent expense and I could get some additional bonus point. Bu they dont give 3 pts against every hundred rupees you spend as promised. There is one more white lie about ICICI HP hard. They promise to give you 15% DISCOUNT on oil change or emission check you do at HP stations. An offer surely unresistable. But guess what, when I visited the HP station for the emission check they were not aware of such thing.
4) Customer service sucks BIG time.Whenever you call them for any query or anything else they dont hesitate to put you on hold for as long as they want. There is no respect for the value time of any customer. Believe me it takes no less than 20-30 mins to simply ask for the credit limit left on your card.
Some good stuff about the card. Its widely accepted(thanks to VISA instead). Vast ATM access, though I never use credit card on ATMs for any reason whatsoever.
P.S. Dont get carried away by the promises made by the marketing agents. Most of them are free lancers and make big promises most of which dont come true.And remember credit card companies dont honour their promises. Incase of ICICI they RUDELY denied of any such offer given to me at the time of application.
