I’ve banked with ICICI for the past 8 years and have seldom regretted my decision. The customer-service(both on phone and in-person at a branch) has always been cheerful and polite, irrespective of the circumstances. I’ve always been serviced with a smile.
The ATMs and branches are ubiquitous - they have presence on pretty much every nook and corner of the cities I’ve been to.
A single card serves the purposes of being an ATM card and Debit card. Also, they’ve given me a VISA, which means I can shop pretty much anywhere in the world(Citibank gave me a Maestro, which hardly has any acceptance, especially on online portals). What has blown me away, though, is their online banking system - it is world-class!
And that is saying something, considering that I’ve banked with the likes of Chase Manhattan and Wachovia before, too. It is a comprehensive, idiot-proof system that is both intuitive and secure, and takes care of almost all my usual needs. On the odd occasion that I have come across a stupid customer-care exec who keeps repeating the rule-book to me instead of listening to my problem, a simple escalation has been enough to settle matters. All in all, ICICI to me is the closest to a comple banking solution. I’m sold on you, ICICI.
