Recently my company moved salary account to ICICI bank. I lost my debit card. Call their call centre. ''Welcome to ICICI Bank. Press * to continue'' Now do they think that after dailing them I may not want to continue? Why can I not directly connect me to concerned executive?
First call after waiting I am told that my card blocking request is accepted. But can not accept new card request as system is not working.
Second call same evening, new card request is accepted but can not give me any confirmation no. as systme is very slow.
Third call. After two days. Can not confirm ''if request for new card is registered or not. System is very slow.''
On every occasion I wait 3 -5 minutes. But at least there is a nice touch. A recorded message tells me that ''your wait time is 2 minutes.''
Try to open an account at ICICI Direct through the same no. First call ''Executive wil meet you in 48 hours''. 7 days no one contacts. Second call ''Sorry for the earlier incident. Executive will meet you in 24 hours'' No go. Third angry call. ''Executive will call you in 24 hours.'' At least in 48 hours someone contacts. I am busy then. No further contact from that executive in 3 days.
I have had no transaction with the bank branch so far. So I don't know about personal service. But if telephonic service is any indication, I do not want to go anywhere near them.
