Before writing about my own experience, I need to tell you one thing in clear, this is not a company it is a consultancy, you can say in simple "Letter Pad Company".
Even, across the globe lot of consultancies running/doing good not like this one.
These guys will pull you by saying "We are running a huge project for long term say 3 or 4 Years" like this so don't believe these words.
You will get call from Singapore always from two stupid guys whose names are "Mn" or "Hi"(I think you understood) or Other wise you will get a call from a very big shot "Sa or Smn".
No joining formalities, and even your certificates will not be verified while joining, if you ask this question they will say we have verified the soft copy, so no need.
Once the second stage Employment Pass is processed, after that, they won't handover the passport immediately, if they suspect you are not happy with the new environment or new job, they will take long time to hand over the passport to your hand(might be one or two months).
You will be sold to a Client by getting a PO(Purchase Order) from the Client.
POs will not be long term, it will be for 3 or 4 Months(according to my knowledge), later on, it will be extended in the same manner.
Knowledge Transfer will not be given for any projects.
In Client's place, as you are a vendor, you will not be provided a proper work place to sit.(Example: I have seen 10 people sitting in a conference table in a conference room and worked for big insurance company(Client), the employees includes I, to, S and a big brand company in the world "eye-bee-yem").
If you are availing half a day sick leave, you have to submit Medical Certificate(This is Malaysian Norms).
In I, to, S they will provide 1 day leave per month that is all together(Casual, Sick and Privilege).
There won't give leave encashment while relieving from them, for the saved leaves.
These leaves are also not guaranteed, still it depends upon the Client.
I need to say about the Income Tax deductions, they will say it is only 15% or 10% for the first six months and then is only 5 to 10 percent depends upon the band of the salary.
But I have filed and paid 26% percent of tax as you will considered as a foreign worker if you work less than 180days(6 months) for a financial Year(Jan - Dec).
If you are joining try to join in June atleast so you will get more than 180 working days for the joined year.
If you join on or after July 1st and if you releave on or before June 30th then your income tax for that particular calendar year will be 26%(less than 180 days in a calendar year).
So for each financial year you should have more than 180 working days for normal tax deductions, this is Malaysian Income Tax Norms.
If you are negotiating for the salary, please do ask the below mentioned things as well.
1. Two way flight tickets per year for individual and family.
2. Ask for free accomadation if you are a bachelor.
Why I mentioned the above things because my colleagues some people stayed with free accommodation and some people paid rent for the accommodation.(MYR 500 - MYR 700 depends upon the apartment).
Even if they accept for the flight tickets initially, when you are planning to fly you have to beg them for the flight tickets like a beggar.
And one more point if you are resigning your job, they won't provide the flight ticket to fly back to India, if you ask for a flight ticket they will say if we fire we will give or else we won't.
Now coming to the main point FIRING.
Once you joined and reached client place, done some two or three months work and delivered the things, then they will say the followings:
1. "Your attitude is not good and not liked by Client"
2. "Your Performance is not good" this they won't say until you deliver the things, after delivering they will say this to you to fire you from your position.
3. "The Project Got Over - No more work, initially they have assured us it will be for more than 1 Year or 2 Year but now the situation changed" so we can't continue with you like this more than one month, so please leave the company within a month and they will give the final date also to you to leave.
So job guarantee is all depends upon your own fate and project availability.
The main TRAP they will say is it is a Permanent position, but they won't reveal to you that you are purchased for minimum period and later on it will be continued.
All the above mentioned things are not happened to me only, some of them is applicable to me, some others I have seen happened to my friends and colleagues. If you need to clarify that please contact me I will give their contact number for your clarifications/verifications.
Here they don't know the meaning of mail communication.
If you send a mail to anyone in the company management, regarding rent, free pool status, project allocation, salary not credited in the account as on time, flight tickets, money needed in advance, etc and any other management related things you won't get reply at all for atleast 10 days and you have to call them and beg, that too if they pick the call.
But if anything project related things are going in the mail chain you will get reply in half an hour to one hour, saying do this, go here, do that, etc.
One more thing I have observed here was the people whose salary is high let's take more than 10 K will always get a name spelling mistake in the cheque. They will do purposely so that the cheque got bounced by that time it will be first of the month.
After collecting the cheque back they will reissue the cheque with correct spelling of the name, by the time it will get credited to your account on 4th or 5th of the month. This they will do when they are running out of money in the end of every month.
This thing happened to my friend, when he completed 7 months, 6 times his cheque got bounced.
Even if we get the reply mail, it won't give answers to your queries.
They will not to pay the income tax, and just leave but in immigration in the airport will catch sometimes and have to pay the amount there and then only you will be releaved, worst case you should have that amount in your hand to pay or else you will miss your flight:-(. This case happened to a friend while leaving permanently from Malaysia back to India, he bribed and catched the flight.
